Best service to sell used Blu-Ray / 4K / DVD's / etc?

I have a few UltraHD 4K Blu-Rays I'd like to sell but haven't sold physical media in a very long time and would like to know the best / easiest method of doing so. I attempted to list what I have on Amazon which has completely changed since last selling on there around 7 or 8 years ago. If I'm not mistaken, they required separate approvals for each movie studio for all discs. I'd use ebay but my brother who lives with me has his own account (which he hasn't used in years) and so ebay thought both accounts were mine and indefinitely suspended my selling privileges. I've been buying and selling on ebay over 20 years but when I called customer service to find out why this happened I tried clarifying the situation but they still wouldn't lift the suspension.
Anyway, do you guys have any recommendations? Thanks!

If you can't use Ebay or amazon, that only leaves stuff like Mercari or facebook marketplace .Mercari appears to be like Ebay but doesn't have as good safety features for buyers not sure about sellers. I haven't used them to know how good they are. Maybe others have more ideas. Or you can trade in to a local store for credit towards more purchases if you only have a few items. There are some independent record stores that buy video. and are decent

Amazon isn't that good of a deal anyway. They take a huge cut of the money from the price of product and shipping. It has become real hard to make money there. I do remember that you can sell on walmart.com but I don't know the fees involved. Or who is allowed to sell. You can send stuff to declutter.com but that is probably for lower quality items than what you have.

No plugs for the Trading forum here? I know it doesn't get much traffic, but I've bought a few things off there not too long ago and there are no transaction fees to contend with.

Just so you know, the USPS just raised the price of Media Mail to $3.92 (and up). It used to be easy to get rid of discs, now you start out $4 down.

Recently got my eBay sellers account up and running again, but things have changed on there as well since I last sold. They don't use Paypal anymore, which is a good thing and disperse payments themselves. My question is, when payments for items sold are dispersed, are the fees (listing fee, final value fee, etc.) already taken out?

Yes, the fees are already taken out. The only thing that isn't automatically taken out is shipping cost, since you can buy your own shipping label anywhere, or you can use eBay Labels to purchase the label. If you use eBay Labels, you have your choice of buying the label by deducting from your pending account balance, or paying for it separately (with, say, PayPal or a credit card).

You can choose to have your pending funds disbursed automatically on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly schedule.

Re: Best service to sell used Blu-Ray / 4K / DVD's / etc?

I just sold about 40 DVDs and BDs at Book Off. It mostly was comprised of old TV on DVD sets like Smallville, Angel and Army Wives. I upgraded Smallville BD and I Will never have time to rewatch the others. Got about $87.60 total. Not great, but considering the used market for physical media is dying, I’d take the cash over letting it continue to gather dust.

Book Off doesn’t have that many stores in the U.S. and they are one of the few brick and mortar used book, music and movies stores left.

And I’m going to Japan next month and need some extra spending money.

Second and Charles (a small book chain) buys media, though I don't have a good grasp of how much they offer for DVDs and BDs. Used television sets seem to be a buyer's market these days.

For most Blu-ray titles I've taken by Book Off the past couple years, they've only been offering about $0.50 per title. And they don't even buy DVDs anymore (at least the ones here in Hawaii).

Re: Best service to sell used Blu-Ray / 4K / DVD's / etc?

Went to Book Off tonight and made about $66 bucks selling some DVDs and BDs of stuff I'll never watch or never have time to watch. Most notably I dumped 5 seasons I had of True Blood (DVD and BD) and the 6 seasons I had of Entourage (all DVD). And they can easily be watched on Max anytime. The rest was pretty much all junk including some old PS4 games. And I dumped the Rambo series on DVD (have them all on 4K now)

All that crap was just sitting in the closet or on the shelf gathering dust. In fact, the Rambo set had a ton of dust on it since I haven't touched it in probably 10 years.

They declined to take 1 DVD season of True Blood claiming it was scratched. And they didn't take a used copy of Entourage the movie. I guess I'll just donate them to my local library for a tax write off.
