Watched BACK IN TIME last night on Netflix (the new BTTF documentary). It was rather 'meh'. The first half hour is really good (discussion of the movie), then they start talking about the fans, which was okay - but seems like a totally different doc than the one we started with. It's good for one viewing, but I'd never want to own it.

Mr. Right with Anna Kendrick, Sam Rockwell and Tim Roth. Well done for the most part, but while Rockwell and Kendrick are likeable as usual, it's really hard to cheer on characters that are basically total and complete sociopaths. Typical Max Landis script with most focus on just getting to a big action set piece, it's an incredibly slight movie.
Still, I don't regret watching it, and it was fun seeing both of the leads fucking people up. It's also one of Rockwell's better post-Moon roles. Rented on Vudu.

Bridge of Spies...it was ok. I don't think Spielberg did enough to ratchet up the tension that should have always been there. i thought a lot of it was contrived and while a good performance, Rylance's Abel was not Oscar worthy. in retrospect i think based on acting performance, Ruffalo should have gotten the Oscar.

All Things Must Pass...a very, very detailed account of the rise and fall of Tower Records. good docu. just a little too detailed and intimate for me. liked the cameos and nostalgia of it all, but it wore off fast. still worth checking out if you remember that time.

High-Rise...well, um, i watched the whole thing so that is saying something. bizarre, surreal, strange, interesting. not sure i liked it and probably won't ever re-visit it, but it kept my attention.

Catastrophe S2. Watched all 6 eps on a flight on Saturday. Love that you can download episodes for offline viewing on Amazon Prime. Wish Netflix would allow that.

NOMA My Perfect Storm
Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown - Noma (Copenhagen)
I'll be in Copenhagen later on this year and Noma is on the list to go. Granted, the chances of getting on the reservations list slim I can only try. The documentary and Bourdain's episode were fantastic.

The Dancer and the Thief. Not half bad but I kinda expected a thriller/heist film, instead got a decent drama/love story.
