http://www.showtimeanytime.com/#/activate

Works fine for me. I have Directv and have never had any problems activating my devices with it.

Re: Showtime Anytime-A Big Joke?

Did a google search on 2 computers-no such link. Maybe I mis-typed something. I will try your link. I have Showtime with Charter and it's a major pain staying connected and setting parental controls, etc with Charter's subscription services.

Been having trouble with Epix also. Won't let me watch anything except PG-13 movies one minute then everything the next minute.

PS-Tried above link-no luck. No place to put activation code. Asks me too register for Showtime Anytime (I've done that ten times already today)then it says I must be Primary acct. holder(I am the only holder). Bunch of bullshit. I will call Charter.

Works fine here, click the link, login, activate. If it's an issue with your Charter login, you definitely need to call them.

fwiw, I went to www.showtimeanytime.com/activate

Re: Showtime Anytime-A Big Joke?

I called Charter. It seems to be a problem on their end. The customer rep couldn't log in either. Also EPIX and HBO GO aren't working either(that's with Charter's internet service).

I never was able to log in to Showtime Anytime at anytime in the past while I was able to log in to EPIX and HBO Go with EPIX being a problem with parental controls.

Encore Play and Starz Play are also down( with Charter's internet service).

Re: Showtime Anytime-A Big Joke?

EPIX is working on my Roku devices but not on my Roku TVs. Haven't tried Showtime Anytime. TVs are tied up watching MLB.

Encore Play works and doesn't work so it's been hit and miss.

Re: Showtime Anytime-A Big Joke?

Charter sounds like it's kind of a clusterfuck then.

It's like when Comcast didn't allow the Roku to access HBO Go but allowed the Apple TV. (And then HBO announced HBO Now, and Comcast realized they'd potentially lose money so they quickly allowed all systems to access HBO Go)

Re: Showtime Anytime-A Big Joke?

Charter was giving away Roku 3's during a promotion and now those are the one's not working with EPIX but my original Roku 1 devices are working with EPIX.

I just hooked up two Roku's with Showtime Anytime but it's not letting me watch any R rated movies. Hells Bells they all are R rated. I will give it a few hours and then call Charter again. Maybe I will wait till tomorrow too see if EPIX is working.

I think EPIX had a free preview this weekend which isn't helping matters. When you get it free for a weekend does the streaming channel work as well?

Everything works now except EPIX. Doesn't work at all on Roku 3 ;works on Roku 1 but only allows me too watch PG-13 movies.

It works through Chromecast on my iPhone. Unlike Starz because of their slap-fight with Comcast. Showtime also actually do everything in the right aspect ratio. Would that others would follow their lead.

Showtime's standalone streaming service now has over 1 million subscribers.

That's actually quite impressive.

I would love to know how many HBO Now subscribers there are.

Starz's new standalone service just started recently, so I can't imagine the subscriber base is very large at the moment.

Re: Showtime Anytime

Showtime Anytime is the app by which cable Showtime subscribers can watch Showtime content for free. Showtime streaming is the $11/month service that you can add to Amazon, Hulu, or get through the Google app market or through the App Store and watch Showtime content without a cable subscription.

Re: Showtime Anytime

What's the content(comparing both)? A Wikipedia article calls them both as the same.

Having two separate channels(same as HBO) is dumb. They want too milk the cow for every dime it's worth.

It should be one channel(free for tv subscibers, pay for non-subscribers).

EPIX streaming has one channel(free for subscribers) and it has thousands of movies.

Re: Showtime Anytime

Content is the same. If you don't have cable (which I don't), you can't watch Epix, but I can watch HBO and Showtime with a subscription. I guess they could make one app and at the beginning have you select whether you have a subscription or not but this is the way they did it. I don't view it as a big deal, download this app if you have a subscription, this one if not.

Re: Showtime Anytime

I thought that Showtime streaming channel had all their programming(tv series, movies, etc) while Showtime Anytime only had a handful and only the last few episodes of their tv series?

Both are exactly the same as Deb just said. Anytime is like HBO Go for cable and sat subscribers and is usually included as part of your subscription.

The standalone version via a separate Showtime app, through Hulu or via Amazon is for non cable people, but has all the same shows and movies.

It can be confusing. Starz on the other hand has only 1 app that can be used for cable/sat people and those who buy it standalone. But they also have their content through Amazon.

Re: Showtime Anytime

This sucks. I have SHO through Verizon, but I prefer using Anytime to watch shows because the PQ is so much better through that than through the cable box. Plus you can access new episodes early on Anytime.

It's still to be determined if Showtime channel (soon to also be rebranded as Paramount+ with Showtime) cable subscribers will have access to the Paramount+ with Showtime streaming service.

Re: Showtime Anytime

These two links to Showtime's help site seem to make it clear they will not have access to streaming Paramount+ w/ Showtime.

No. There is no replacement for SHOWTIME Anytime.
https://shodotcom.zendesk.com/hc/en-...-discontinued-

While SHOWTIME Anytime is still accessible and fully functional until it is discontinued on December 14, 2023, there are other ways you can stream SHOWTIME programming. Your TV service provider may offer a TV Everywhere app as part of their service, allowing you to watch the SHOWTIME channel on streaming devices. You will need to contact your TV provider to learn more.Alternatively, you can stream SHOWTIME programming through Paramount+ with a subscription to the "Paramount+ with SHOWTIME" plan.

Yeah, that sucks. You might try the FIOS TV Home app, and see if you can get it through there. I know it's not the same though.

I lost my Showtime linear last month (condo bundle changed), so I have to get my Showtime now through Paramount+ anyway, but it was sometimes nicer to browse and look stuff up on the Showtime Anytime app.
