NYPD Blue 10.01.2002
This show has become the one I look forward to the most this season. Well, okay, it's a tie with the Sopranos.
Tonite was a solid show. But most importantly...female NUDITY! Well, it was a half moon.
I'm wondering what Sr. said to the IAD stooge to get just a ten day rip.
I really hope John had insurance.
Knowing the club scene, I was kinda expecting Baldwin to get into some trouble on the way out.
I realize that this isn't Law & Order, but I was hoping to find out what happened to that father [mr. letter bomb].
And...again...Rita's booty!

Yeah, I'm sure the John Sr. thing will be coming up in the future and I'd bet it's going to involve some trash on Sipowitz. I also agree that this is the show I'm looking forward to the most every week. I hope they don't do too much between Baldwin and that squeeky little mouse that's chasing him, but I'm guessing she'll be around for a while.
"I have no problem kicking your ass too." = best line of last night's show

Great show. The car-jacking had me rolling. I am a Law & Order die-hard fan and I thought Blue was far superior to L&O last season. It is off to a strong start so far.
Oh and Rita and her perfect a$$.

If that is 'awful', then I can only hope that my next girlfriend looks that awful.
Seriously, I think I gather what you are saying. I'm sure they try to ugly her up a little bit for the scenes when she is on duty for some sign of realism - I mean what are the chances that a NYC detective squad would have 2 babes for detectives.

Yeah, halfway through last season all the Bochco women got less attractive hairstyles, including Delaney over on Philly.
It really is amazing how this show has risen back to the top. Last season was stellar, and they've picked right back up with that this year. I don't know how long this second wind can last, but I'm certainly enjoying the ride while it's here.

das monkey: I think there are several things that happened last season that really granted this show new life:
1.) David Milch left and took with him all the demons that were plaguing the show i.e. late scripts followed by no scripts and the overall bad vibe brought on by years of alcohol and drug abuse.
2.) Rick Shroeder also departed. As much as I liked Danny Sorensen and thought he was an interesting characters, he was just that great of a partner for Andy. I don't mean that they didn't have any chemistry. I mean as a character, Danny was a walking vortex of hurt and sadness, and you can't have Andy, another damaged person, playing off him. Andy always needs someone who is opposite to him, like Bobby Simone. It was great to see Kelly ( Caruso ) and Sipowics together since they were both really, really, really flawed individuals. But Andy has changed over the past 10 years. He's lost a son, three partners, and a wife. But he's also reconciled with his former wife and found a damned, damned, damned fine lady and has a little tyke to think of.
3.) The new cast is amazing, especially Charlotte Ross. I completely fell in love with the character back at the end of season 8 when Danny went missing. Andy and Connie go see this guy and he [ Andy ] completely goes ape-sh*t and dunks his head in a sink on water. Connie just stands there, cold and calculating and suggests to the punk that he should just blab. Hot-damn! Now that's a lady! I knew back then that these two, Connie and Andy had real chemistry together.
Mark Paul Gosselaar is another terrific addition. I can remember all the whining about how the show would tank with the "Saved by the Bell" kid. But look at him now! He's young, impetuous, brash and doesn't take guff from the older and more experienced Andy. Perfect. Jaqueline Obradors is great too, but I think her character needs to be developed more. Blue has a bad tendency to neglect its female cops, although Kim Delaney had good run.
Henry Simmons and Gordon Clapp are terrific together. I just cringe every time Medavoy open his mouth, and poor Baldwin Jones has the patience of a saint. Speaking of Baldwin, I hope we get to see him reunite with Valerie ( Garcelle Beauvais ), unfortunately, like all ADAs, she's mostly in the background.

I am pretty sure Senior John Clark only got a 10 day rip is because he's going to be a snitch. That's why Sipowitz was so interested in what he got.
