Good question. I have the book and I just looked it over. On page 13, Jack Bauer says his 6 man team (that he picked himself as stated earlier in the text) consisted of...

1. Jack Bauer
2. Warrent Officer Dwayne Shelton, a former Green Beret
3. First Sergent Brice Gardener, a weapons officer (no military origin listed).
4. First Sergent Haj Illijec, an Army Ranger
5. Technical Sergent Roger Voss, an Air Force Special Operations Combat Controller
6. Master Sergent Fred Peltzer, an intelligence specialist (no military origin listed).

You can see that there was no Stephan Saunders listed. I suppose they could claim that he changed his name, but then how would Jack know him by his new name if he thought Saunders was dead. Even if he would have changed his name there were only two of the "Nightfall" people that he could be. Brice Gardener, or Fred Peltzer. The others are clearly not British SS on loan from MI-6.

I think that's a plot hole myself. Good catch Steam.

Good episode, BTW.

1) You're in a thread for the discussion of tonight's episode (the episode he is in). It wouldn't be a spoiler unless it gave away something in future episodes.

2) My question wouldn't be the spoiler anyways; his answer would be.

3) It wasn't serious, and I didn't expect him to answer.

Dern it. Unfortunately I show up only once for about 1 second. I had to pause and slow-mo just to make sure it was me.

Maybe next time.

Wasn't it you that they had the close up of? It wasn't very long, but at least it was a direct shot of just you rather than just you in a crowd shot or something.

It was long enough for me to realize it was you (although I did rewind and pause to double-check).

Not sure which one you thought was me. There was another guy that looked kinda like me with glasses, but the only shot of me I saw was of me in the background.

A friend of mine was there with me, he didn't get in any of the shots at all. I kinda know one of the "swat" guys too, but they all wore masks, so you couldn't tell who was who.

Please Kill Chappelle. Please Kill Chappelle.

great episode. I would strongly doubt, however, that MI-6 has an American office, though.

Good ep. It'll be interesting to see what they find on the hard drive, and how they'll reconcile the ordeal with Chappelle.

Also, I don't think Michelle is infected as she hasn't shown any signs yet...

MI-6's official roles is to:
"to obtain and provide information relating to the actions or intentions of persons outside the British Islands"...

so it stands to figure there would be offices outside of the isles...

Not sure what to make of tonight's episode, it seemed to be a bit fluffy.

Maybe that book is no longer considered canon. Kinda like when George Lucas decided to make Owen Lars into Anakin's stepbrother and it invalidated what was printed in the ROTJ novelization.

Great episode, BTW. If they keep this up over the next 7 weeks, I may almost forgive them for the Palmer soap opera and the Chloe/baby saga.

Guess no one at MI-6 ever saw The Godfather, Part III.

only thing I didn't like was that the past couple of weeks Michelle has been a badass.

This week she almost breaks down into tears because she killed a guy. Whatever. Pick a character path and go with it.

Remember Saunders was on loan to the Americans from MI-6 for Operation Nightfall. That means he could have been there for pure support. He may have been involved in the sidelines and not as an actual front line person. This was pure speculation. I am starting to wonder if Operation Nightfall was doomed from the start and that is what made a patriot like Saunders turn on the dark side.

Indeed. I just doubt it would be a rented floor of a regular LA office building... but that's just me.

This isn't unusual...I know US Government agencies that rent out floors of buildings right here in the United States...it would be more common for MI6 to do it, it seems.

Here's one screenshot of my appearance:

http://home.comcast.net/~dodgingcars76/Kenny24a.bmp

I'm in the upper-right corner.

The other shot of me shows my whole face, but I don't have a shot of it. A friend of mine sent this to me.

Oh I don't doubt that most government agencies would do that, but MI6? Pretty important stuff for that location. It would be like the CIA keeping top-secret info in a regular London office building.

Not that I'm going to sit here and point out random plot holes. It was still a great episode, and you really get the feeling that no one is safe now. I really can't wait to see where this goes.

At least Jack got a peek at Diana's goodies before getting shot by Saunders' mercs.

I do not know what they have on hand, but the FBI field office in OKC is located in a office building with an upscale mall occupying the first 2-3 levels. They share the building with a bank and a local radio station. So there are some intelligance agencies that are housed in public office buildings in the US.

Anyone think that the "Sky is falling" was a trigger? Or just a red hering?

This has nothing to do with this episode or season even but do we know if they're doing a season 4 yet?

This show can never end!!!
