Two great episodes. A lot of funny stuff.

So the ending shot of the second episode, before it said....To Be continued, Michael Learned brought her hands (with germs) up to her face. My roomate said, she's dead. Did everyone else get that?
Yup, I did. I was actually kinda sad. Stupid Cabbage.

Stupid J.D. too for allowing him back into Sacred Heart after suspending him.

I think (and I could be wrong) that interns are still in school. I'm unclear as to the difference between intern/residency, etc. This seems like information we should all know- can anyone explain how medical school works?

I'm sorry, but I just about died laughing during this scene:

"Who's that guy that just waved?"
"I dunno. Maybe you should beat him up?"

Oh, and "black hand side" also had me rolling.

Yes, in a previous episode, Cox blew up Janitor's van in a bet (like he mentioned at the bar). There were quite a few of little continuity references in both episode tonight.

Is this the first time Scrubs ended an episode with a "To Be Continued?" Or did the first Brendan Fraiser episode in the first season end the same way?

I been loving this season so far and the first 7 or 8 episodes have been gold but the two last night i didnt care for. I dont like the new interns and there for two much screen time. and no really funny moments.

Interns are not still in school. They are in their first year out of med school. typically, after one year of interning, they become residents (but that's different for surgeons). I guess it's feasible that they could have done well in med school (to get them where they are now) even though they are idiots.

I didn't get the impression that Lerned died in this episode. Just that she was now infected. we'll learn the consequences of cabbage's screwup in the next episode (if she dies, gets better, etc.)

Okay, so basically an intern has graduated medical school but is not certified yet? Since med school has practical components, I can't really see how Cabbage could have gotten through. He can't even handle an IV.

Maybe this is why people say never get treatment at a teaching hospital.

You would be surprised how bad interns and even some residents can be at practicle medicine. My wife works at a University hospital and she has had more than one run in with idiot interns, and a couple of residents.

I really can't stand Jordan this season. It almost seems like she's being played by a different actress even though I know she's not. The lip thing has a little to do with it, but it's also way more than that.

Turk and Carla yelling at their pumpkin to charge the mound was great!

Ditto! My girlfriend has recently gotten into Grey's Anatomy and is having me watch a couple episodes. A lot of times I can't help but think "Scrubs did this, but did it so much better" The key thing they messed up is the attending... can't hold a candle to Cox.

Speaking of which, I loved seeing Cox and the Janitor scheme together. My favorite characters together! Awesome!

I'm in med school and even I don't know what the hell they are referring to sometimes. They go back and forth between interns and med students, even though interns are supposed to be 1st year residents. Either way, I don't have a problem with Cabbage making it this far. Most anybody who goes to a US med school gets a residency, no matter how bad they are at what they do.

That's comforting. Can't they make the sucky ones practice on cadavers or something until they stop sucking?

My question is ... how did Cabbage get booted so quickly, yet Doug get to stay around long enough to work in the morgue? Oh right ... TV show.

Some people do well writing tests and exams; some people do well working with people... depends on what kind of person you are.

Anybody else think the janitor needs a girl? I think it's about time. Someone besides Elliott.

Absolutely loved the Cox/Janitor bonding. Especially the scene inside JD's room. Just classic.

Sure, but shouldn't there be some basic level of competency before they graduate you? I know Cabbage is probably exaggerated, but if there was a med student that couldn't even insert an IV properly, do they really deserve the degree? Doesn't this kind of stuff come up before residency?
