Favorite South Park Season?

I want to get my nephew a season of South Park. Are they all good or does one season stand out?

For me, "Make Love, Not Warcraft" made Season 10 the best for that one episode alone. F***ing classic.

I'm not a regular viewer of the show, but I loved this episode.

I would suggest you get him South Park: Hits #1: Matt & Trey's Top Ten if you're in a jam. All those episodes are good and the show isn't terribly episodic. Please remember that it is TV MA!

(The S10 episode mentioned above aired a few weeks ago and isn't on DVD yet.)

Same here. Loved that show because it was a satire on video games and nerds and not a political statement.

Well, seeing as how we're only up to Season 8 on DVD, that really doesn't help the OP much.

You know South Park is rated "MA", right?

If you have an xbox 360, you can buy season 10 episodes. I think you can do the same on the ipod as well. I purchased make love not war for my 360.

So what? Maybe the kid knows the difference between fantasy and reality and knows right from wrong.

He is sixteen. Mature enough to be watching South Park.

Even before release on DVD, I heard a lot about how great season eight was. Having just completed it though, I thought that it was among their weakest season. Well, okay, I guess all-in-all, I did think it was the worst. It just wasn't funny (with the exception of 2 episodes and a few small spots).

As for recommendations, I'd also go with the collection if you're only doing one. It's also got "The Spirit of Christmas" (or so the packaging says), which is a big plus.

Of the recent seasons, Season 8 is my favorite by far.

I know people who let their 6 year olds watch South Park. They're wondering why they're running around calling their mom a "bitch".

I'll second this one. I thought the one with Russell Crowe was my favorite of all SP episodes, but the LOTR episode is so good I can't really decide which one I like better. "Free Hat," about Lucas and Spielberg, is in there too, as is "The Death Camp of Tolerance," featuring Lemmiwinks.

Make Love, Not Warcraft is the ultimate episode, but it is so recent, I think he would enjoy watching some from a while back.

Ha Ha! Thought I would weigh in on that Hipppie68, since it is your nephew, and my son we are talking about!!!

Maybe because the parent won't discipline the kid not because the kid watches South Park?

Maybe because the parent won't discipline the kid not because the kid watches South Park? Also, I go back to my previous statement.

The parent obviously didn't teach the kid that its wrong to repeat things you hear on television and that South Park is a work of fiction where little kids talk like that. Was I the only kid who had a parent that said something like "You know this is just a movie and fake right?" and something like "You can't do things that they do in the movies"?
