It was?!? Wow, didn't look like her to me...but it's been a year or two since I've seen her.

In Desmond's flashback, when he's talking to Ruth, she says it's a good thing he wasn't found by a shepherd or he'd be off with the sheep. He was eventually found by Jack Shepherd.....

WTF? How can people seriously confuse Penny and Libby?

This is why eyewitness identification in police lineups is a dicey proposition.

First Desmond then Hurley. Weird.

But why did Libby become an Other and why is she calling herself Juliette now?

I really want to know how Ana Lucia parachuted from heaven. She must have some pretty important intel to do that.

the person hanging from the tree in desmond's flashback has on different boots than the pilot they find. I'm guessing someone else gets hung in the next episodes.

Or is it because he changed his vision by saving Charlie? The island appears to want Desmond to sacrifice Charlie before it'll give him what he wants. Charlie may well be his Boone but with a more direct demand.

Hmm... I like it, maybe I'm behind here, but I never made that connection between Desmond/Charlie and Locke/Boone.

I find this show is much more enjoyable when you fast forward through any scene that involves Kate.

Some people can't distinguish Sarah (Jack's ex-wife) from Penny, from Juliet. And almost every other middle aged guy with long hair in a flashback is supposedly Tom (one of Jack's patients and Locke's commune leader, for example). I wouldn't be surprised if people start thinking Kate is Sun soon. I mean, already some are predicting this black woman who fell from the sky to be either Desmonds sister or the child of he and Penny ... FTW?

I never post in the Lost threads even though I've seen every episode. All I wanted to say is that I enjoyed this episode and can't really say there have been any I disliked. I enjoy the pace of the show as it slowly unfolds.

As someone mentioned earlier, what about the Abraham/Isaac connection between Desmond/Charlie. That would tie in with Jacob, Ben(jamin), the good (Jack) Shepherd. Seems to be setting up some biblical themes. Desmond did spend time in a monastery becoming a "brother".

Does Desmond just need to have enough faith to sacrifice Charlie (as Abraham was willing to do) so that Charlie won't die, that a way of escape will be presented as was done for Isaac's life?

Just some random musings.

That whole sequence was confusing. I thought a drop was made in the ocean (like food even though other drops were on land) and I missed how they thought a person fell in the jungle. Gotta watch it again.

Desmond nearly did let Charlie die this time. Barely jumping in and saving him at the final second. Saving Charlie before was a no-brainer but when faced with the possiblity of seeing Penny again, his temptation was at the boiling point. He must sacrifice Charlie to the island.

I wasn't all that impressed with the episode. Were we suppose to be shocked at the end?
Great, just another character to deal with.

I'm surprised you haven't already posted your weekly "Lost's ratings decline and the show is doomed" post. Are the numbers not available yet?

This whole "changing the vision" thing has me kind of bugged. Shouldn't changing a part of the vision only change the end result if the two were related? If could see that letting Charlie live might screw up their rescue if Charlie goes and does something to screw it up after he "should" have died.

Saving Charlie after the helicopter went down shouldn't affect the woman's boots as those boots were already on her feet when Charlie was saved. Right?

If no-one hears a tree falling in the forest, did it make noise?

It would also appear that Rose and Bernard are alive and well, since Sawyer "borrowed" the Phil Collins "mix tape" from him.

definitely agree that the woman who landed on the island was hired by Penny to find Desmond (the picture of them, her knowing his name, the Portuguese version of Catch 22).

Biggest WTF moment for me was the "Chestnut Lady" in the picture on the Monk's desk. Bizarre.

Not a great episode but far from the worst that we've seen of this show.
