I thought Jennie Finch or Carol Alt would stand out.

No, Jenna Jamerson made a guess appeareance where the guys are selling the hotdogs. I guess Tito called her to help with some donation.

In term of contacts, I think the guys will win it. They seem to have more powerful contacts just base solely on their own achievements.

Come on now -- Marilu Henner has Taxi connections and Evening Shade connections. What do the men have to stack up against that?

Did anyone else think it was wrong that they give the winner's charity all of the money from both teams? If I bought something thinking I was donating to a charity, I would be pissed off finding out it went to a different charity.

Or did they never specify a specific charity when they were selling hotdogs?

I have never been much of a Marilu Henner fan but I have to admire her for actually aging gracefully. It is nice to see a celeb her age that hasn't pulled her face tight from plastic surgery.

Jeff Conaway could probably use some charity, rather than donate to it.

That assignment (selling hotdogs) was a joke. It s/h been called who has the richest friends willing to throw it around to get their name mentioned on TV. I knew when it was just the 3 of them in the boardroom that Trump was not going to fire black bitch 'cause as obnoxious and pitiful as she is, she is still more of a provacateur and ratings magnet than Carol Alt or the no-name that was actually fired.

I wonder if these folks just seek a piece of what once was or if they really have bought into their own celebrity?

I'm calling it quits (I'm taking a hiatus) after this initial episode....that was painful to watch.

Quite possibly...

At any rate, it's for charity, so I'm sure this is all good for everyone involved.

I may take a sneak peek later in the season run, if just to see which charity benefits from this....

Omarosa may not be a true celeb, and may be a horrible businesswoman, but in a strange way I admire the fact that she is in no way starstruck by these 'celebs' and is just as brutal, if not moreso, than she was in the first Apprentice. I actually kind of enjoyed her putting some of these other self-righteous has-beens in their place. I can't believe that America's Got Talent nitwit has the gall to call other people's celebrity status out, and her analysis of his celeb status was dead on (British a*hole). She's obviously coasting on her troublemaker status, but at least she plays the role well.

from a pro wrestling news site/forum:

Spoiler:
Last night was the season premiere of Donald Trump's hit show, "The Apprentice". Instead of the typical format of young business people competing for a job with Trump, this season it's "Celebrity Apprentice", with 14 celebs competing to win money for their favorite charities.

We can now confirm that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon will be making several "boardroom" appearances on Celebrity Apprentice this season. It is likely that one of the weekly challenges will be WWE-themed.

Speaking of Vince and the Donald, the real estate section of today's New York Daily News newspaper has an article about Vince buying a new $4 million apartment at Trump's Stanford, Connecticut luxury high-rise building Trump Parc.

My thoughts exactly, it's not like he can teleport.

I've heard, and am familiar with most of the guys, but besides Omarosa, I don't know who any of those women are.

I can see everybody else wanting to be on this show, but I'm still surprised that Gene Simmons agreed to do this. I can't wait until him and Trump face-off.

I think the reason is that Gene Simmons wants to be a bigger reality show star.

IMO, he's probably trying to become part of Trump's inner circle to possibly join him in some investmets.

Finally got around to watching this tonight.

This was fucking God awful television. Nothing about this episode was compelling at all. Omarosa is still the fucking arrogant bitch she was in season 1. I can't believe that Ben Silverman and the folks at NBC thought this ridiculous incarnation would make good TV and I can't believe they green lighted 2 seasons of this shit.

I would have preferred an Apprentice: Las Vegas, Miami or Chicago or even another edition based in New York.

I'm not wasting 11 more weeks on this nonsense. I have to agree with Matt Rousch on TV Guide, this is the worst show of 2008 so far.

don't like this show, watching the intro and listening to the music makes me wish this was the original Apprentice, I really liked the show. This isnt fun to watch. like the person said above, the selling hotdogs thing was a joke, they are doing normal business task like before which was fun to watch.

This is boring.

Marilu Henner is pretty famous...two very successful sitcoms and her own talk show (which is why it was absolutely stupid that she wasn't in tonight's commercial). As for the rest...eh...not so much. Jennie Finch is fairly well known in the sportsworld. The other known names are decades old.

Gene Simmons has done several of these shows in the past few years. I remember him on Millionaire...I remember him on American Idol. Besides, it's not like the guys from Kiss were immune from whoring themselves out.

The idea to use Lennox Lewis in the commerical and then Trace Adkins for the voice over was brilliant.

Stephen Baldwin: I've been acting in films for twenty years.
Piers: You have?

Trump: Most people are losers.

It's funny watching these people interact.

I'm loving it so far. Anyone notice how Gene was slightly crushing Ivanka's hand? LOL. I see them butting heads in the future because Ivanka is a very strong woman, and Gene is someone who treats women like pieces of meat.

Uggggh. Tonight's episode was pretty bad.
Would be nice to see Ivanka smile once in a while.
I think Ivanka and Gene are going to have issues, well Gene with all the women are going to have issues.
This show is a mess.
