Tell me about it. These Terminators... these unstoppable machines that can't be bargained with or reasoned with; That don't feel pity, or remorse, or fear; That absolutely will not stop, ever... unless they get ditched at a strip mall in SoCal?

Except it's been made obvious from episode one that Cameron isn't your standard Terminator, and that point has really been hammered home this season. She has shown a capability for emotions, she has showed the ability to think a situation through instead of just charging right in, etc.. Her not knowing what to do when the two people that tell her what to do are at odds with their orders only feeds into her growing awareness.

I think she will be the key to Sky Net becoming capable of thought.

I live in Los Angeles and you are actually more right than you know. 90% of the people on the Pier would go back to eating cotton candy and fishing after seeing a shoot out.

Do you think there is anyway we can opt for the producers to retcon the show to just be a pregnant Busy Phillips and the new girl shooting people for forty-two minutes?

Because I would watch that show...

Well, I noticed 2 things during this episodes :

1- Shirley Manson is a shitty actress and pretty darned ugly.

2- Fox loves their commercials, anyone notice there were places where we might have 7-8 minutes of show between commercials.

I am going to go back to downloading TV. I PVR'ed the show and still almost stopped watching in disgust at all the interruptions.

All in all it was a good episode. I am really liking how they are developing Cameron, it is interesting seeing her act more human than your typical terminator. I wonder if she did something to Riley to figure out where John went though.

i too was baffled at the necessity of getting the old terminators by shirley manson. hopefully we get the answer to that before the show gets canceled.

especially considering they made a point of showing that there were cops there (they were in the background of one of the Summer Glau scenes when she first got the pier)

That's what I was thinking the entire time he was attempting to clear a shed like he was holding a shotgun. That M79 would've taken the roof off of that entire building.

Thought it had the most solid writing this season even though that's not that hard. Sarah needs to be more bad ass like in T2. I loved "Thought it'd be easier. Thought you'd be dead".

And stop making John so damn stupid. Yeah, he's a frustrated teen but the constant threat to your life and everyone around you and you still can't get it through your head to stop taking stupid risks? He's still at the maturity level he was at the beginning of T2.

Agent Ellison probably has some part in creating Skynet, maybe unwittingly. Cromartie let him live and said something about them working together and now urinal-1k is trying to recruit him.

Cromartie = Chrome + Arnold (Artie)

Ab-so-lutely.

My thought exactly. They've got to get a handle on these characters. There is NO FRIGGING WAY that John Connor would take those risks to go shopping. Even with that cutie blonde.

I think there was minimal risk in going out with that cutie blonde, so I say go for it John, live your life. The only frigging way I could see him not going in that situation is that the future leader in the war against the machines is gay.

The best part of the ep was that a majority of it revolved around the part of the cast I like, not John and his stupid fembot.

I really enjoyed this one, too.

It continues to be a show with a few silly moments (John ditching Cameron--doesn't he get that he's being hunted? Just tell her to keep distance...or the dude running through a closed building, waving an M79 around so much that it would probably throw him off balance) but overall, it's a solid thriller.

I especially loved the twist of the terminator abandoning Sarah and crew--I didn't see that coming. Good stuff. I know the ratings have been dropping, but I hope this one sticks around a while.

Though this episode was an improvement with a bit of humor scattered throughout I am finding the premise limiting. Much like V the series, the show is a cat and mouse game every week with a Terminator chasing them. You can't really have a resolution or the show would be over.

I would unplug my TV. That ER chick looks GODAWFUL pregnant. Some women can carry a kid, this lady looks like she ate a moose, and now her neck is eating her head.

Way to ruin yourself at the beginning of your star's rise, honey.

What is obvious is that the show has to Ration it's action and Special FX budget quite strictly

I don't think they are doing everything they would really like to in each episode.

The movies were essentially cat and mouse games too. I wasn't expecting anything else.

I took that final scene at the dinner table to mean that 1. they were upset that the life of an innocent person was lost due to their fight, but also 2. that they realized that they all had made such stupid mistakes and they have to be more aware if they plan on surviving. Sort of an eye opening experience.

Of course, I may be reading too much into that final scene.

Slightly off topic, but there's a CB for the San Diego chargers whose name is Cromartie. Everytime I hear his name being announced it creeps me out a little.

Actually, it won't kill you because an M79 grenade has to fly at least 10 meters before the fuse arms - so room clearing with it would essentially be like throwing really fast hardballs at a terminator.
