Oh why couldn't there have been more moments like that in the Prequels?

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 2 discussion

I'm enjoying the action quite a bit this season but I have to say I'm getting tired of the overt dialogue references to the films. Lines like Jar Jar Binks's "Steady! Steady!" said by Anakin and C-3PO's "No, shut them all down, hurry!" said by the admiral dude is just grating. On the other hand, I kinda dug when a clone trooper said, "We-Are-LEE-VEEENG!" just like Hudson said to Drake in Aliens. I remember MST3K doing a take off on this and I thought I was the only one who noticed the weird way Michael Biehn said that line. I guess it all cancels out.

This show is one of the few I've been watching that have consistently great episodes.

It also has one of the worst schedules ever, with three to four weeks between new episodes being commonplace.

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 2 discussion

The last few episodes were pretty good. I really want to see how the Godzilla cloning thing will turn out. Little Boba was pretty good. For some reason I thought the clones were born adults but now that I think about it they showed young clones at the clone center in the movie.

The new voice actress for Padme is horrible. She sounds like a 12 year old.

I wish Cartoon Network would get their shit together with DirecTV and designate these episodes properly... each season my season pass records one episode like 8 times even if I set it to record "First Run Only"

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 3

Nice to see a thread about this terrific show. I have said in the Blu-Ray forum that this show is what I was wanting to see from the PT. The characters have depth, it actually addresses some interesting issues, and most of all, Anakin is a hero and leader as opposed to a whiny bitch.

yeah, its certainly better than any of the prequel trilogy, but it does suffer from "we ultimately know how it all ends" prequelitis.

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 3

Glad it is back on but I wish they would show this in the proper aspect ratio of 2.35:1. Jar Jar next week! Hopefully their getting his antics out of the way early this season.

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 3

Enjoyed both episodes. The first episode had a lot of Band of Brothers style of music (appropriately). It was interesting that the score wasn't the usual SW style, which is hard to explain, but easy to notice for me.

Living the dream: just watched this week's SWTCW with my padawan for the first time.

Given that he's only 2.5 days old, I don't know how much he understood -- but it was a 'moment' for me.

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 3

I have a Comcast DVR and the trick is to leave last night's episode on there until its reruns are over. If it's already sitting in your machine, you won't re-record it again.

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 3

Outstanding return for Season 3, really enjoyed it. I agree with the Band of Brothers vibe. I've always like the eps where they focused on the troopers and the other peripheral characters. Not looking forward to the Jar Jar ep, though.

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 3

I wonder if the designers like the clone-centric episodes so they don't have to create new characters
