I haven't watched it yet but she left the Jedi Order?

So that's how they're handling the "We can't kill her, the kids love her, but she's got to be gone by the time Episode III kicks in with Order 66."

AND, she can be hiding in the outer rim working as a bounty hunter (what else?) when Episode VII rolls around.

She was kicked out and invited back in, but she refused.

Yep, she is now going to show up in the movie sequels. Her character is very popular with younger girls and it will be a nod to that demographic in the Disney sequels.

She'd be what 45 by the time Ep7 opened, if they started it right when 6 ended? How popular will that character be with the young female audience? If she was a bounty hunter I think she would be far more popular with the adult male audience.

I'm trying to watch Clone Wars from the beginning and just a few episodes in I think the episodes that she is involved in are easily my favorites.

I only go back to watch the episode where the Plo Koon and the clones are in escape pods floating in space and they are getting executed one-by-one. That was my first clue that this show wasn't marketed down to little kids and got me hooked.

Everything could probably be wrapped up with one more season, but I'm hoping we get two more to fill the gap until Episode VII. Seventh season leading up to Episode VII seems fitting.

At that point why wouldn't they just change the show to fill the gap between VI and VII. This show could go on forever.

Maybe a 45 year old of her species looks like a 20 year old human. Age doesn't mean a whole lot in the Star Wars universe unless you are an actor that appeared in one of the previous movies. Since she is animated in this show it shouldn't be a problem putting her in the new movies.

Excellent point and something I didn't even consider.

I think just using the force makes you age less.

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars -- Season 4

The series is building to a close...

http://starwars.com/news/a-new-direc...animation.html

A New Direction for Lucasfilm Animation

As we enter into an exciting new era focused on the next Star Wars trilogy, Lucasfilm has decided to pursue a new direction in animated programming. We are exploring a whole new Star Wars series set in a time period previously untouched in Star Wars films or television programming. You can expect more details in the months to come.

As part of this shift, we have also made some key decisions affecting Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Detours.

After five highly successful and critically acclaimed seasons of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, we feel the time has come to wind down the series. While the studio is no longer producing new episodes for Cartoon Network, we're continuing production on new Clone Wars story arcs that promise to be some of the most thrilling adventures ever seen. Stay tuned for more information on where fans can soon find this bonus content. In the video below, Supervising Director Dave Filoni offers a peek of what is to come in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

At Star Wars Celebration VI last year, George Lucas gave fans a glimpse at the animated comedy series Star Wars Detours from Seth Green, Matthew Senreich, and Todd Grimes. Detours was conceived and produced before we decided to move forward with the new Star Wars trilogy, and in the wake of that decision, Lucasfilm has reconsidered whether launching an animated comedy prior to the launch of Episode VII makes sense. As a result, we've decided to postpone the release of Detours until a later date.

We are incredibly proud of the teams at Lucasfilm Animation for creating some of the most amazing animation ever produced for TV. Keep checking StarWars.com for new developments on these and future projects.

Meh, I'm fine with that. I had thought this was the last season anyway. Five seasons is enough. I wasn't really a fan of the show, just a few good episodes here and there.

To me it sounds like they'll maybe do a short season 6 to wrap it all up. I guess it will have to air on Disney.

Also saw that Star Detours with Seth Green was delayed. Not sure if anyone cares about that.

Seems like they're thinking about a new cartoon set between eps III and IV.

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars -- Season 4

Shame to hear but it's something that being part of the Star Wars universe has to come to end sometime.

I've watched Season 1 and just finished Season 2 (Blu-ray) and really was impressed with the overall sets. Besides great animation, visuals and sound the wealth in the extras in how they came up with characters, 2&3D art, test runs, concept art and interviews is some of the best I've seen in any sets period. I'm glad I just ordered Season 3 & 4 and have no plans on cutting them loose now.

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars -- Season 4

I don't think they'll cut Season 6 short. I guess it depends how far along they are. You figure they will start showing them in the fall so they've been working on episodes for over a year now. They might even have all S6 in development so unless they want to throw away work, the winding down part will be with episodes going beyond that. I could see a full Season 6 then a Season 7 as the final year to wrap things up. Figure Season 6 will air until spring 2014 and Season 7 would end in spring 2015. Then Episode 7 later that year. A nice way to keep Star Wars in the public eye until then.

Apparently these may not even air on TV, since CN won't be airing them after this year... It could be streamed online or a direct to DVD release.

Now they're saying that the plan was to have 8 seasons. This is total bullshit.

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars -- Season 4

I have no idea why anyone thought differently, Disney wants their own Star Wars shows and never had much intention to keep this show around. They did the same thing to Marvel's shows when that company got bought out.
