Please just discuss the Amazing Race finale in this thread. Thanks.

They were also first in that episode that was "To Be Continued" so it seemed like they had more first places than they really did. Well, and they also won all those legs on All-Stars.
As far as knowing where to go in your hometown... When they finished in Seattle in season 3, I would have known everything except when they had to go to Lincoln Park and do that totem pole puzzle thing (but Lincoln Park is in WEST Seattle, which is like a whole other world to me). All the other places they had to go to are pretty famous Seattle landmarks that no cabbie would have any problem finding and Gasworks Park is about five blocks down the street from where I live. I can't believe they've been at Gasworks Park twice and I never knew until it was on TV.
This episode reminded me a lot of the last episode of season 9 when Eric and Jeremy were always surging ahead only to have all the teams grouped together again. The only difference this time is the best team didn't blow it at the last minute.

I agree they easily ran the best race. I would have liked to have seen Toni and Dallas hang on to win. That last leg would have pretty brutal on Toni though. Given the tasks on the final leg, the team that might have had the best shot of beating them was probably Terrence and Sarah, but unfortunately for them they were eliminated in between two non-elimination legs.

The 2nd season when it ended it San Francisco, the final piece was to go to Fort Baker I had no idea where it was.
Fort Mason and Fort Point I knew for sure, but Fort Baker nope.

The finish line in the first season was in Flushing Meadows. I think you're confusing season 1 and season 8. They finished at some park near Niagara Falls in season 8 after spending most of the leg in Canada.

I'm happy with the winners!
Did anyone see Toni and Dallas at the finish line? I didn't and wondered why they weren't there. Aren't all racers usually present at the finish? I thought they might ask Dallas on the mat if he had any plans to date Starr after the race.

In depth interview with Nick and Starr at Reality TV World:

Ken and Tina were about 11 minutes behind them at the finish line. Lots of other little details in there.

I got a chance to watch the Regis interview and Starr said that she and Dallas have been dating since the end of the show and he was there, off camera. He looks the same.. I was hoping he would have done something with the spikes.

Nick has had his own website for some time now, although he obviously has been too busy lately to keep up with the journal. (some interesting entries on his entry into the NY theater scene.)
There are some terrific videos of him performing in various musicals. (They are also on YouTube.)

Watched the finale last night...I wanted Tina and Ken to win. They played a good game and were never dishonest. Tina especially was a good sport even with those creepy brows of hers.
The mother/son team gave me the creeps sometimes. There were too many moments I was afraid they were going to french kiss each other.
Oh, and the finales lately have been so anti-climatic. The races before the finale seem more exciting.
