Yes, Trinity just thought that Dexter was a terrible Vigilante and not a killer. He has no idea who Dexter is and what he has done and doesn't until Dexter is bleeding his cheek for his slide. At that point I think Trinity realizes just who Dexter is and comes to peace with what is about to happen to him.

Depending on the appearence, Harry can represent the Dark Passenger, Dexter's conscience, or even Harry itself.
Please type all that out rather than "Ghost" from now on.
BTW, I'm so glad they switched to this from the flashbacks in season 1. Seeing Michael C. Hall in that awful wig took me out of the show every single time.

I only questioned the ghost term because of the suggestion (albeit lighthearted) that Dexter's brother could appear to him in the same fashion when he wasn't a person that had any influence on him throughout his life. I'm over it.

And I also heartily agree with the thing about Michael C. Hall's wig during those flashbacks. It was pretty bad.

Pretty bad? When my sister suggested the show to me and I saw that, I wondered, "What kind of low budget piece of shit is this?!?"
Luckily, I stuck with it.

Haha... there were only like two or three scenes where he had the wig, if I remember. It was usually the teenage actor up until the flashbacks about his first couple of kills.
Never did understand why they didn't just use the "teenage Dexter" actor and just give him a shorter, more "mature" haircut or something for the "early 20's" Dexter.

My question for next season is, what does Dexter do about Rita? Does he call 911 and handle it through official channels? Or does he get rid of her body and claim ignorance as to what happened to her?
If the former, he'll have to explain his ties to Trinity, whose family will surely tell the police about "Kyle Butler."
It'll be interesting to see how the writers handle this.

If they find evidence that he broke into Deb's apartment, it's not a huge step to say "He didn't find her there, so he went looking for her brother."

I agree, Dexter has a connection to Trinity through Deb and the investigation so he can call it in. By getting rid of the body and noone knowing where Rita is, that puts the spotlight on Dexter and people may start snooping around in other things that may further expose him.
My HUGE problem is that "Kyle" comes running into Trinity's family's house, asking for Arthur... they sense something is wrong, and then seconds later "Kyle" sees police outside and takes off just before they storm the house. The family is taken into custody and find out that Arthur is a serial killer. Sooooo, don't they immediately think "Kyle" is connected somehow? They don't find it suspicious at all considering the timing, the urgency and that "Kyle" took off? I would think that the family would tell the police about him, leading to a search for this "Kyle Butler" person.
Now next season when Dexter calls Rita's death in, won't the FBI still quesiton the family based on this new murder - trying to see if there's anything more they can tell them? And when that happens, isn't there a chance they'll somehow see the husband is "Kyle"?

I think that Kyle Butler is going to be one of those things in the show that we're supposed to forget about and just move on. There have been a lot of those type of things in the series. A lot of things don't hold up when you start asking too many questions. The show is still very enjoyable, you just have to be able to let things go when the show does.

Speaking of things we're supposed to forget about, I'm still waiting for Ramon Prado to come back.
