Re: American Idol -- Top 24 Perform -- 02/23/10-02/25/10

Some of the performances by Allison and Kris weren't bad at all. Kris gave a heartfelt rendition of "Let It Be" on behalf of the Haiti relief effort. He does appear to be losing his hair, though.

I was bummed that Lacey survived this week, while Janell went home, but vocally, Janell was outgunned by most of the rest of the girls.

I just figured out who Haeley looks like: she shares a resemblance to Amanda (on Survivor) if she were of African descent.

disappointed ashley got sent home. even though her performance of "happy" was pretty bad, i thought her audition was great and she had potential. plus, lacey had the most horrible performance on tuesday and she stays? that's how it is every year, but it's always annoying. would've liked to see janell stay too. should've gotten rid of haeley and lacey. don't care about the guys, so i was fine with them leaving.

At this point in the season it's definitely better to be bad than forgettable. People can remember you and feel sorry for you if you're bad. Ashley was forgettable, and her elimination was the biggest lock of the night.

I was a little surprised that Janell went home, but if they wanted to make it suspenseful they shouldn't have had her standing next to Katie. I'm glad that Didi got another shot.

Yea, anyone who sings last does NOT go home so that was a foregone conclusion.

Damn Janell was hot too.

America clearly did not vote w/ their eyes when it came to the girls.

And that's horse-shit.

The eye candy is not supposed to go home in the first week.

Tyler will probably end up in therapy. guy thought he was Robert Plant and Jim Morrison in one and came to work in a bathrobe. and still couldn't figure out why he was voted off after the fact.

I like Lacey and I'm glad she stays. Yes she was horrible in her first live performance but I dig her voice and still believe in her.

Ugh another week with Haeley. Thank fucking God for the fast forward button!

And that Casey dude sure is a good looking woman.

Thank you.

I know he is just a teenager, but I kept telling my husband his looks bug me because he looks like a gay woman. He's like a young KD Lang.

Re: American Idol -- Top 24 Perform -- 02/23/10-02/25/10

Caught this last night.

I would have liked to have Janell hang around another week mainly because she's pretty good looking, but vocally she was weak. I had no problems with Joe Munoz, Tyler and Ashley leaving.

I thought the guys were just as brutal as the girls. None of them really stood out to me and I was really annoyed how they played up the whole Kara and Casey thing even though she is married.

That Kara / Casey thing had me remembering Paula and Corey Clark (a contestant with whom she supposedly had an affair).

This.

I wonder if these people know how stupid they look to TV viewers when they act like hormonally arrested adolescents?

I'd laugh like hell if Casey came back in a few years with a "tell all" about Kara.
