Re: The Office -- "St. Patrick's Day" -- 3/11/10

So BJ Novak must have a pretty sweet deal to be included in the promo shot with the 4 main stars of the show. But what's the deal with Ed Helms? Does he have a real shitty agent or what? He's arguably the biggest star on the show (maybe even moreso than Steve Carrell) but without a doubt is the second most visible actor on the show and it took him 2 years to even show up in the opening credits and he's not even on the promos but BJ Novak is? Makes no sense.

To be fair, I just grabbed one of the first cast shots that popped up on Google. It could be from years ago. I really didn't pay close attention.

There is no way Ed Helms is a bigger star than Steve Carrell.

He was in one 'big' movie. Not even close to being a bigger star than Carrell.

Didn't realize the picture would stir up so much controversy. Changed it to something more current.

Why isn't Erin more pre-dominantly featured in that photo? And why is the Vance Refrigeration guy there? He's not a main cast member!

Re: The Office -- "St. Patrick's Day" -- 3/11/10

Ok, he's not a bigger star than Steve Carell, but he's bigger than Rainn Wilson, John Krasinksi and Jenna Fischer and a whole lot bigger than BJ Novak. Plus he's got a bunch of stuff in development according to imdb, but then again so does Steve Carell. Krasinki's non-Office stuff has tanked big time, although it looks like he's slated to be Captain America in the new Avengers movie. Jenna Fischer has done next to nothing outside of the Office. Rainn Wilson has quite a long resume, but his roles are mostly supporting. Put it this way, at the very least, Ed Helms is the third most popular actor on The Office behind Carell and possibly Wilson, but he doesn't get much screen time or even much mention in promotional material. Makes no sense to me.

They've all been on the show longer than Ed Helms.

Helms has been in one 'big' movie. One.

I, for one, can't wait for Helms in Untitled Civil War Project.

Anyone else affected by basketball tournaments? My NBC affiliate in Louisville is moving the entire block over to their digital sub-station due to the SEC Tournament.

No way Ed Helms is a bigger star than Rainn Wilson or Krasinski. They have more fame from just the Office than he has from the Hangover, not to mention some of the movies they've been in.

That may be so, but it was a BIG movie. Krasinski has done nothing of note. Leatherheads tanked. License to Wed tanked. Those were his only starring roles. He had small parts in It's Complicated and Dreamgirls. What else has he done?

Nice How I Met Your Mother reference

edit-But other than that what a horrible episode and i'm not one of the usual critics of the show.

Re: The Office -- "St. Patrick's Day" -- 3/11/10

When The Office started Steve Carrell was the only "big name" among the cast. When The Office gained popularity Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, and Jenna Fischer also grew in popularity. When people think of The Office they automatically think of those main four. It's not that Ed Helms isn't a star or even one of the main characters now, it's just that he isn't the one you think of when you think of The Office. Why B.J. Novak gets billing before him I do not know, but I'm sure it has something to do with their contracts, the fact that Novak is a producer, and again, that he has been there for longer and played a bigger role than Helms has in most of the series.

He also starred in Away We Go.

He is a producer and writer on the show, so yeah, he has a good deal.

Re: The Office -- "St. Patrick's Day" -- 3/11/10

decent episode tonight, really liked seeing Packer again, liked the mega desk and Jim stacking the desk at the end. Loved the stuff with Andy and Erin as well and nice seeing Darrell getting rewarded for his idea, I do not like Kathy Bates on this show though

I couldn't have even told you the name of the guy who plays Andy. I just know him as Andy and the guy from The Hangover. I don't know the real names of anybody in this show except for Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinksi and Jenna Fischer
