Was it just me or did that orderly look eerily similar to Renee?
Santa? |
Re: True Blood -- "Beautifully Broken" -- 06/20/10
Awesome.
Nazi Eric going after hot naked nazi werewolf chick -- love it. |
Re: True Blood -- "Beautifully Broken" -- 06/20/10
Damn, I love this show! So many new characters introduced in this episode! And glad to see Godric's character getting used still.
So is Bigfoot real too? Santa? - Jason  Has anyone on here read the books besides me? |
Re: True Blood -- "Beautifully Broken" -- 06/20/10
What I want from True Blood for the rest of the season. More: Jason and Andy, Eric, Jessica, and werewolves. Less: whiney Tara, overracting Bill, and NO stupid Snoop Dog videos.
Okay ep., but felt kind of marred in people's personal problems. I also feel they are introducing an awful lot of characters fast. It will be difficult to keep track of them. I felt like last season had a better pace at the start. Jessica is starting to grow on me more than I thought she would, and Jason continues to deliver the great one liners. Overall, an average ep., but an average True Blood is above average TV. |
Re: True Blood -- "Beautifully Broken" -- 06/20/10
First 2 episodes make this infinitely better than last seasons already... Love the Nazi Werewolves!

Re: True Blood -- "Beautifully Broken" -- 06/20/10
Most favorite moment was when Terry told Sookie to freeze. Combat style.
Nice casting of Alfre as Laf's mama. |

I was thinking this too. Already better than all of last season. |
Re: True Blood -- "Beautifully Broken" -- 06/20/10
Dang, do Nazi Werewolves really make that much of a difference in whether someone likes or dislikes something?

Pretty good episode I hope we get more scenes with Pam and Jessica together in the future. |
Re: True Blood -- "Beautifully Broken" -- 06/20/10
Blood bisque...Blood gelato...Ridiculous yummy episode that just flew by even with the truckload of new/old characters being dumped in.
The hour did leave me wondering where the heck they are going with Arlene's pregnancy and Sam's Ark. white trash family reunion - those two felt a bit detached from everything else. Count me in also lovin' Alfre Woodard ("This is Jesus. He's a Mexican, but he aint rape me yet." rotfl) Thought Tara dominated too much of the hour, but at least there was some progress with her getting over Eggs.

Do humans have to be formal when inviting the vamps into their houses? Just thought it was odd for Sookie calling Eric "Mr. Northman". |
Re: True Blood -- "Beautifully Broken" -- 06/20/10
I loved the fact that Sookie said her own name the way Bill says her name. That was awesome.
I'm glad Kevin Alejandro's appearances here won't impact his time on "Southland". |

The Sam storyline has a lot of potential if handled well. They're biting off a whole lot in terms of ground to cover in only 10 remaining episodes IMHO. Still, glad to see that Hotshot is part of the story and Calvin! Jason - "I caught me a drug dealer!" |

Speaking of that scene "Let's go stare at ourselves in the mirror", I don't recall the vampire lore for this series. I thought they didn't have reflections...

I'm almost finished with Dead as a Doornail and have the next three waiting.
I figured they were gonna start using Hotshot this season since they already announced that Alcide, Debbie Pelt, and Calvin were going to appear... I hope this also lead's to Jason's storyline from the books too. |

I think also the garlic thing wasn't true either though I think Bill said they generally just don't like.
Loved all the "courses" that were brought out to Bill. All pretty much the same thing, just "prepared" differently. "Bigfoot? Santa?" rotfl Jason has been getting great lines so far. I agree that the Tara and Sam storylines need to move a bit more, although Sam's brother seems to have some issues (did he stop in the middle of the road and then change to an owl and fly away so Sam would be nearly killed by the oncoming truck?). --John |

--John That might be something left up for debate like whether or not Tony Soprano's mom actually tried to have him whacked. Doubt it will get to that level though. |
