I just want more Eric flashback scenes! The Nazi Werewolf and the Viking Werewolf flashbacks have been the best scenes in the show this season.

As much as I'm diggin' the King, I can't understand how he kept his Wolf ties a secret for so many centuries.

How were vampires and werewolves able to stay secret from society for so many centuries, period? Werewolves still are at this point I believe.

But that's just it. They weren't able to stay secret. Almost all cultures on Earth speak of these beings so I would say they weren't a secret. It's just that people tend to think someone is crazy if they say they saw one. As mentioned in the show, Vamps use this disbelief to their advantage and I'm sure Wolves and other Creatures benefited from the same.

That said, I'm talking about my difficulty in believing that the King was able to keep it from other Vamps. Hell, even that yokel Alpha knew about him. So how was he able to keep it from other Vamps?

Has the show, or the books for that matter, ever mentioned anything about the first vampires to reveal themselves? That would be an interesting story in and of itself IMO.

I'm reading a book right now dealing with Werewolves coming out to the world. The Fae have already done so in this book's Universe.

Yes.

But it's not a book in the Stackhouse series. In this book the Fae or Faeries have come out to the world. Vamps haven't so far, and the American Werewolves are getting ready to come out to the world.

Here's the trailer for the second half of the season that was just shown at Comic Con

<object width="320" height="240"><param name="movie" value="http://www.hbo.com/bin/hboPlayer.swf?vid=1105700"></param><param name="FlashVars" value="domain=http://www.hbo.com&videoTitle=Season 3: Comic-Con Second Half Preview&copyShareURL=http%3A//www.hbo.com/video/video.html/%3Fautoplay%3Dtrue%26vid%3D1105700%26filter%3Dtrue-blood%26view%3Dnull"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.hbo.com/bin/hboPlayer.swf?vid=1105700" FlashVars="domain=http://www.hbo.com&videoTitle=Season 3: Comic-Con Second Half Preview&copyShareURL=http%3A//www.hbo.com/video/video.html/%3Fautoplay%3Dtrue%26vid%3D1105700%26filter%3Dtrue-blood%26view%3Dnull" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="320" height="240"></embed></object>

And it was announced that the actor playing Alcide will be a regular for Season 4.

From True Blood's Twitter

ALAN likes the vampires in "Near Dark" & "Let the Right One In." Denis likes the vampires in "Thirst." Joe likes Kiefer in "Lost Boys."

Alan Ball has not seen Twilight.
Glad to hear that Alan, Denis and Joe have good taste in Vampire movies!

I'm glad the writers have no influence from Twilight.

Is it another book by Charlaine Harris?

I know, it's wonderful isn't it? Sometimes you don't even have to click a spoiler button!

YEcCK, I hope that dogfighting turns out to be true (with Joe Lee and Tommy watching poker on the couch a few eps ago being some kind of foreshadowing and a tie in with the Mickens financial problems.)

Enjoyed the rapport between Tommy and baby vamp at Merlotte's -- another triangle on True Blood (Sookie/Bill/Eric, Jessica/Hoyt/Tommy...)?

And it would explain all the scars that he said he got from getting into "alot of fights."

It would be nice if people would mention what they're spoiling. We have people putting spoiler tags around everything from their own wild-ass guesses to information that's been confirmed by the cast/crew. If all I see is a spoiler button, I have no idea that you're going to be revealing info from Book Six (or whatever) unless you say something like "Spoilers for Book Six."

Re: True Blood -- "Trouble" -- 07/18/10

Some of the cast made an appearance at Comic Con 2010. I saw a bit of footage with Stephen Moyer and I have to say it's a shame we never get to hear him with his natural accent, it sounds really cool. Apparently Anna Paquin did a bit of impressions of Bill speaking and Kristin Bauer von Stratten kind of stole the show with what she was given.

No. Patricia Briggs. I'm reading a spin off of her "Mercy Thompson" series called the "Alpha and Omega" series. The one I'm reading now is set a bit earlier than the "Mercy" books. In the "Mercy" books, Werewolves are already out.
