Re: Game of Thrones (HBO) Season 2: Casting, News

So we are starting to run out of characters to cast..Edmure Tully, Ygritte, and Meera/Jojen Reed.

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO) Season 2: Casting, News

I wouldn't be surprised if Edmure gets left out until season 3.

I wouldn't be shocked if we never see Riverrun, even though Robb's right outside it right now, or any of the other Tullys. From the sound of things everything that happened in Riverrun takes place in Robb's camp.

Not sure which of the 17,000 Game of Thrones threads to put this in, so why not this one?

Putting this here because I'm not qualified to be in the ADWD thread.

Not officially announced yet, but showing up on a casting agency's website, is Hannah Murray will be playing Gilly.

If you've seen the British version of Skins, she played Cassie.

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO) Season 2: Casting, News

Roy Dotrice has been cast as Hallyne, the chief pyromancer.

Dotrice was originally cast as Grand Maester Pycelle in season 1, but had to drop out and was replaced with Julian Glover.

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO) Season 2: Casting, News

Only watched 4 episodes of Skins and after watching "Cassie" show how an anorexic could give the impression of eating without actually eating, I just stopped. I mean, how could it get any better than that? I'll get back to it at some point. If it's true, it'll be good to see her on GoT.

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO) Season 2: Casting, News

Murray joins Chris from Skins (at least it looks like he'll be on next season)...maybe we'll get Dev Patel next...

And the first two series of Skin are awesome!

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO) Season 2: Casting, News

Martin posted a new clue

From England, England hails this fellow, an ideal choice. He's been a madman, a nut, a spud, a martian, a king, and a slaver, he's gone up with a balloon and down with a ship. But why he is so sad when he's stroked so many women?
Consensus seems to be it's for either Craster or Dolorous Edd

Spud? Hopefully it's Ewen Bremner.

Has Hill ever played a Martian?

Also, it's hard to think Martin would have passed on making a "Mountains of the Moon" reference in giving a clue for Hill.

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO) Season 2: Casting, News

And he just posted another one

A Lighter Shade of Pale

Thrice nominated, once victorious. A double threat. He wrote the script for his own wedding. Has struggled against the Spider's sort, taken on Santa, caught a tiger by his tail. Never reads the same book twice. Last seen dancing home.

Just judging by the photo, I find it odd that the girl they cast for wild girl Gilly is prettier than the girls they cast for the highborn beauties like Sansa, Margery, and heck, even Cersei.
