I can see Brother Sam getting killed, but not by Dexter. It'll either be by the Travis/Gellar or some gangbanger looking for revenge.

It bothered me that Dexter didn't even take pictures of the blood trail, stains on the handle that Deb immediately touched without documenting first. They were in no hurry to get in there. They didn't know she was still alive. Horrible police work. I am aware that it is a television show but come on. Police always photograph the crowds that gather. Criminals love to revisit their crimes. Just stupid. I still love this season more than last year. I think season 4 was the strongest.

Finally got around to watching this episode. Holy crap what an amazing episode!! The interaction between Dexter and Brother Sam is great and I definitely agree with others that Mos is great in this role. I still am not convinced that the Gellar character is real and agree with others in here that Travis possibly has split personality and is crafting the image of Gellar in his mind. Not sure what to make of the intern and Masuka deal, it seems like there has to be more to her than just looking to make money by selling off evidence from closed cases. Then again who knows. The ending with the trap set off and the waitress being killed was cool as well.

Either Gellar is dead and a figment of Travis' twisted imagination (maybe he was a student of his before Gellar was thrown out of the college), or he's alive and the director is messing with us to make us think he's not really there - when in fact he was.
Altho it would be a trip that they do find him - alive and well and living a quiet life somewhere, genuinely surprised that the police were looking for him, and Travis is only imagining Gellar in his head telling him to do all these things since he's some sick devotee to his website and teachings.
