Watched it this morning. This was mediocre at best. The characters sucked. Granted, I couldn't stand Adama in the last season or so of BSG, so maybe it works.
I was wondering that too. The Cylons were too advanced for the 1st war.
the cylons looked like something that would have shown up between the end of the war and the second war, like a cross between the original and nBSG ones
for this they should have looked like the nBSG and Caprica version of the original series cylons
something like this, from the razor flashback

Based on all the good feedback the individual episodes got here, I was expecting to like this, but I liked it even less than Caprica, which I liked less than BSG 2K3. If I had the power to approve this to series for SyFy, I'd have said no. It's nowhere near as compelling as the BSG 2K3 miniseries. Maybe it's an unfair comparison, but I remember being engrossed after the first part of the miniseries, and I was chomping at the bit for a series by the time the miniseries ended. It highlights what a unique event that series was. The cast was simply killer. Blood & Chrome is community theater by comparison.

Well shit. From the positive feedback for the first few web episodes I had planned to buy this. So I didn't bother watching. I wish I should because I still want to see it but I can't at least for the current price with these negative reviews.

Just re-watched this on Blu-ray last night. I wish they had finished and kept several of the deleted scenes. I think they helped develop the main characters a bit, and they gave some of the supporting players more air time. Technical flaws aside (overuse of lens flare, shaky camera work and ultrafast edits), I enjoyed this enough that I would have easily committed to a weekly series. A flawed BSG is still better than no BSG. And after watching the behind-the-scenes stuff, I was impressed at how much of the sets and props were created digitally rather than practically because most of the time you can't tell they're not real.

Totally un-related, but didn't want to start a new thread for it.

I thought this was fantastic. I would've definitely watched it if it were a series.
