Revenge -- "The Rest of Season 2" Thread -- Sundays on ABC (2012-13)
Since there haven't been threads about this show for the last two eps, maybe we just need a thread that finishes out the season. Links to previous episodes and discussions are below.
This show returns with "Retribution" on March 10th (Episode 15 of 22).

I am really surprised that there hasn't been any discussion these past few eps, when quite a bit has happened.

I'm currently on episode 13. I know there is a major lack of interest now and a few here have already quit watching.
In a way I think season 2 has been a little bit of a chore to get through. The storytelling hasn't been as effective. Emily's quest for Revenge, which was the whole point of the show, seems to have taken a backseat to more soap opera storylines.
A few of my nitpicks:
- I hate Aiden
- I hate that they recast Takeda
- I hate the addition of the Ryan brothers
- I hated how they introduced Amanda's Mom. That storyline ended up being a dud.

Agreed on all of your points.
But I'm still waiting for the resurrection of David Clark. It's inevitable now.

Wish they'd just get back to the original Revenge plot. I think most of the audience would stick with the amblings of the show if they'd throw a general revenge plot in every 3-4 episodes. That's always the best part.
Curious--how is this doing in the ratings? Is it holding its own?

I think about everyone agrees with this list. Maybe that's why they've rebooted once again as of last episode. Though they still haven't gotten rid of Aiden, Takeda, etc. I also think Amanda's mom has been the only interesting new character and she's gone LOL.

Based on what everyone was saying i wasn't wrong to quit this show this season. Inevitably it will get cancelled before any resolution anyways.

I guess I'm the only one out there who still watches?
Yes, the season started slow but it's been picking up, and the last part of the season seems promising.

i still watch with the hope it will return to how good it was season one. i am ambivalent on the death of Fauxmanda. she was pretty to look at, but her acting is still stuck inside that proverbial paper bag.
i am happy to see Rebecca from Greek as Noel's love interest.

Ratings are down for nearly every broadcast show, so it's not because of the story lines. Even ABCs Once Upon a Time hit a 2.1 on Sunday which is pretty damn bad.

Great episode last Sunday, and I get the feeling they've been hearing the fans, though it may be too little too late.
Emily said at least twice that she's gotten distracted with all these crazy things going on and she's going back to basics--revenge on the Graysons. Even Nolan said he didn't think all these subplots were what Takeda had in mind when he sent her there.
I like that Jack's getting involved.
Don't like that they've now introduced another character (her long lost foster brother).
Hopefully the revenge will start up again...

Just watched last night's episode.
So I can't believe they're doing it again. I LOVE Jack as a revenger, but after getting rid of several loose ends, they've now introduced two new characters--Em's long lost foster brother and the Falcon. Seriously? Just get back to the revenge! LOL

I am one of the people that stopped watching after season 1. Emily's revenge should have been done in one season. It's ridiculous they dragged it out. If they needed to bring back the same actors, pull an American Horror Story and change the characters and introduce a new storyline. Have Takeda be the constant guy behind the scenes pulling the strings. That would be a show I watch again. Reboot this.

This season's definitely been up and down, but I still enjoy it. I like that Emily acknowledged she needs to get back into revenging.

"Convoluted" is an understatement! Just when I'm so thoroughly lost with what's happening with the Grayons' compary/money, this whole sham charity thing pops up along with a ridiculous foster brother nemesis? Good grief! I may just drop it out of shear confusion.

There's a new ep tonight called "Masquerade" (3/31) but the next new ep after this isn't for four weeks (4/28).
I'm gonna start watching it in a minute... I hope it's good.

Decent episode--wrapped up another storyline only to start another lol.
Still really digging Jack as a revenge guy. Other than that, just ok this week.

It's almost like they're airing this at the wrong time. This episode was supposed to take place 6 weeks after the last...you'd think it was to be played after the break instead of before.

But bringing in the two new characters Foster Brother and Baby X makes me think that the world of Revenge can only have a certain number of cast members at a time.
I agree that this should have aired after the break so that it seemed to have a little more distance between eps.

Head writer, creator and showrunner Mike Kelley is leaving the show after this season.
Apparently he and ABC have clashed about the episode number. He wants a shorter episode order (13 episodes) and ABC still wants a full 22 episode order should they renew it.
Article says the pressure to produce a full season order for this show has taken a toll on it creatively. Go figure since this is no longer a popular show in this forum.
