No but the viewing public does and that's what counts. You can't have the namesake character of a show playing second fiddle to a crook, unless it is very short lived and reversed drastically. Fans are invested in Walt Longmire, not his bought off deputy. Think like the management of the show. Would you do it that way?

Wasn't a big fan of this episode. Finally the election is next week. This thing dragged on forever.

And they've completely dropped the Vic storyline altogether? Really weird to throw that "they found me" out there, and then basically nothing since. This show, although much better, kind of reminds me of Burn Notice: "Case of the week" every ep. with tiny little occasional progress on the bigger back stories thrown in that drag on the whole season.

Dear God, I haven't felt a gut wrench like this since ER was in its prime. And we're only a half hour into it.

It was a good episode. Robert Taylor did an excellent job portraying the guilt and anguish a parent would be going through in that situation.
I think it is pretty obvious where the flat tire investigation is going to end up next week.

I liked it, except for the hokey vision quest stuff at the end with Longmire going all "A Man Called Horse" on us.
Poor Ferg, I didn't realize he had a crush on Cady.
Nice twist with the election not actually being the focus of the episode, and the result being revealed as an afterthought.

Last nights episode was excellent as this show has continued to get better with each passing episode. I kept waiting for Walt to cross the line with the father and son and it truly looked as if he would. I also agree with Cellar Door about the election results being used as an afterthought.

I enjoyed watching bloodlust Ferg. I think this was the third recent show to do that "tie someone up to a pole" thing (Hell on Wheels and I think Camelot had those scenes).

Well ChiCubs hit the nail on the head. Branch now has some MAJOR dirt.
As for last night's episode, it continued the trend of they took a big city crime story suitable for L&O or Criminal Minds and just adapted it for Wyoming life. The scene with the woman suffering from cancer was a nice touch.
But that spike pit and Henry... ow.

Enjoyed the smirk on Walt's face as he walked into his office after he told Branch that it was ok for him to come back to work.

Are Vic and Omar fooling around? I noticed a lot scrambling around when Walt walked in on them.

Decent episode with a bit more movement with the Vic story and the ending with Walt delivering a warning was great. Next week is the season finale.

I know I've probably already said this, but this show has gotten better with each passing episode, at least imo.

I really enjoyed this season and season three cannot come soon enough.
Hope the whole cast makes it back.
