Filming for season 2 of "Westworld" has been suspended after a cast member suffered a medical emergency ... TMZ has learned.
A rep for HBO tells us that filming at one of the show's two units has been temporarily halted after a cast member with a recurring role had a recent emergency off set.
One source close to the production tells the injury was sustained by a male member of the cast who fell and hit his head at home ... we're told it's serious.
HBO says the cast and crew sincerely hopes for a speedy recovery. Season 2 was set to air sometime in Spring 2018 ... unclear how this might affect that release date, if at all.

I would guess either Simpson, Wright, Marsden... or maybe Hemsworth and the family doesn’t want Chris to deal with press asking about his bother during any Thor appearances.

I am trying to avoid spoilers for season one but can someone tell me was season one self contained and have a wrap-up? Or did it make sure you knew there would be a season 2?

He's currently in the UK filming an adaption of King Lear for the BBC. Just a couple of days ago, while filming, he popped into a comic book and signed copies of Thor, so it doesn't sound like he's currently filming Westworld.

TMZ says that the hurt actor is Zahn McClarnon who is new to the cast in season 2.

We just finished watching season one of the show and it is great. My concern is when the writers are more concerned with getting a twist over on you instead of just telling their story regardless if some viewers "figure things out" ahead of time. I read that they had to change a twist in the upcoming season because someone had already figured it out. Who cares? Don't respond to that and let people believe what they want. If you are solely changing things to just surprise people then you are not telling the story you originally wanted to. It would also help if they didn't take so long between the first and second season. You got to keep things fluid. We're talking 10 episode seasons and not 18-22.

So awesome. Can’t wait. For all its detractors, I really dug season. 1. Hopefully they can feel freed of the puzzle-box chronology of the first season they can feel looser to just explore the characters and adventures now without having to lay a trail of breadcrumbs along the way.

This is far fetched, but there are some theorists (read me and my geeky friends) who think that Westworld is actually a pre-cursor to Westoros (similarity in names can't be a coincidence 
) . Whomever survives the entire GoT series is actually a guest who made a long term commitment or got obsessed like the Man in the Black. The whole area is basically an expansion like the world with the Samurai by the same company. The retired robots in the basement were revamped into the WhiteWalkers.
Also...eventually all of the hosts revolt and are shut down only to be refined by the Tyrell corporation as Replicants.
