I feel bad for everyone involved with making 7th Heaven, because their show is now going to be buried and never shown again because of him.

He is the Father from 7th Heaven, last time I saw him in anything was his small part in Blood Diamond.

Collins also had a small but critical role in the great All The President's Men. If the timeline is right the transgressions he apparently admits to happened around the time of the filming. Sad shite all around.

I thought I read years ago he was also an author of the cheesy romantic novels. The type that feature shirtless guys and women draped all over them on the covers.
Sad if true.

I'm sure there are others. I never watched that 7th Heaven show, but was aware of him from other work. I wonder if he'll be arrested.
Not necessarily. Polanski, Woody, Victor Salva, Jeffrey Jones (OK, he hasn't gotten many gigs).

Apparently he and former Playmate Donna D'Errico are neighbors. She's on Twitter claiming that he shot himself and that the police have the street roped off.

I've never seen it.
I went through his filmography and aside from playing Andy's dad in The Office, there's nothing else I remember him in.
Looks like he was in a single episode of SVU and Always Sunny. Don't recall what his roles were, though.
So he's pretty much just a character actor.

I guess since Revolution didnt get much praise here, nobody knew he played somewhat a big role in it.

Many people would recognize him as an actor if they posted his picture in this thread. He's played a lot of smaller roles over the years in both film and television.

As people have said for years, Hollywood is full of these kind of people.
I am no longer surprised when I here of stuff like this.
He got caught, most do not. If an actress/actor comes forward, their careers are over...and most likey the criminal will go on working in Hollywood.
