Maybe not tonight, but I predict Glen will die at some point in the near future. I saw a recent photo of Rick Yuen and he had grown some slight facial hair. Actors typically don't alter their appearance until a gig has finished.

Uh, yeah...getting rid of slight facial hair takes months. Let's read a lot into that.

My exact thoughts. I get that it's nighttime and there isn't electricity or lights, but lighten these scenes up a little so I can actually see people's faces! Never had that problem with this show until this season...not sure what's going on.

Welp, there it is. I knew Eugene didn't know jack shit and was talking out of his ass. How he convinced Abraham, I hope to understand. I guess all these flashbacks to Abraham's family is going to show he's just too focused on the magic spun by Eugene and a cure.

Yeah, I mentioned thinking that a while back as well too. He's a really strange guy as evidenced by this episode. The fact that he sabotaged the bus made it even more obvious he was full of it and trying to delay the inevitable. I'm hoping Abraham's flashbacks reveal he lost his family and was just so desperate for something to latch onto that he believed Eugene's lies. Sort of a right place, right time for Eugene.
Someone needs to punch Eugene square in the jaw though.
EDIT: There we go, Abraham dispensing with a much needed ass-whooping.

Well, there we go. Eugene stopped him from eating a bullet and gave Abraham purpose. Still, Eugene has some smarts for a guy with a mullet. He's useful, but just big fucking pussy.

I expected Abraham to blow his brains out after he punched out Eugene.

Cool to see Abraham's backstory realized visually (in the comics it was all told in dialogue). Looks like we get a Daryl and Carol ep. next week. Could be great.
I remember in the comics Eugene was not autistic or whatever is wrong with him in the series. I think he said he was a former science teacher.

Overall, this was a pretty bland episode which is really a shame given what was going on story-wise. It was just very poorly executed. And the darkness which has been plaguing the the show of late didn't help to completely take me out of the show.
Maybe it's just me, but I think going from one big city (Houston) to another (Washington, DC) seems like a terrible idea. A bigger city means more people and more people probably means more walkers and more walkers means a greater likelihood that you'll get eaten. The smartest thing to do is just find a secluded farm somewhere or maybe go to an island?
So basically if I'm understanding this correctly...Abraham defended his family from people that were going to hurt them or already hurt them (I was unclear on this...sort of zoned out for a minute) and this scared his family so much that they ran away from him one night only to get eaten? That's ridiculous.
I loved Eugene telling Abraham "I'm smarter than you" after the big reveal. Poor timing buddy.
Eugene hasn't been totally useless, but he really needs to toughen up a little bit. At least we can understand why Abraham was so quick to believe him given what he just went through.
Still, this week was a little dull. Next week looks great.

There was some really strange editing in this one.
First they jumped from cleaning the fire engine intake in town to then being broken down on the highway. They never mentioned what happened there, they just started walking again.
Then, during the argument and big reveal from Eugene, they were just a few hundred yards from the slaughterhouse. After the commercial break they were back at the fire truck.
Was I just mistaken?

Michael Cudlitz just explained who the men were from the comics:
Pretty messed up. Still, his wife leaving makes zero sense.

Abraham brutally murdered the men who attacked his family, including bashing the one guy's face in with a can. And this was apparently very soon after the shit hit the fan in the world. So it's understandable that his wife and two small children would be freaked out by his behavior and suddenly fear him.

at the darkness complaints. Once again I had zero problems with the lighting. You guys do know that some scenes took place at night, right?
And of course they should stay on a farm or something but then everyone complains that they aren't roaming the countryside fighting zombies every week.
I really liked this episode. Nice to get a little more info on Abraham, and it's finally revealed that Eugene is as full of shit as he seemed from day one. I do like the inclusion of cowards in this world. Not everyone is going to turn into a badass zombie killer.

I thought he was hiding a 666 tattoo under that mullet.
It looked like Abraham had an open wound on his hand when he was attacking the walkers so their blood could've mixed, perhaps adding to his losing it.

Yeah, pretty bad editing throughout this episode. Especially the bus crash.
I didn't have a problem with it being too dark, though, and my TV is definitely not set too bright.

All I meant was that for someone like Eugene who claims to be the smartest man in the room, his plan to head to a densely populated city was really stupid. I know holding up at an isolated location to survive doesn't make for great television, but neither does them aimlessly wandering around at a certain point in time.

Why didn't they just try this vehicle:
Or, this vehicle:
And, what was Eugene saying about the preacher right after the bus crash?
