I'd say the Venus-centric episode last season was pretty serious (and maybe the best episode since season 2).
Based off the later scene, I don't think those were regrets.

Despite criticizing him, have to give Sutter credit for using RT's " 'Dad's Gonna Kill Me " in a previous ending montage.
Little bit surprised at how effective Drea de Matteo has been. Wasn't a huge fan of hers in Sopranos (except for her car ride with Little Steven), but she's kind of made Wendy one of the few sympathetic characters (although quite naive re: the Skank Queen). When I see Googins, I see Boyd Crowder; when I see Matteo, I see Wendy.
I think I'd buy the Venus character better if played by an actor with less exposure. Most of the supporting cast (aside from Perlman, Sagal, & Smits) were relatively obscure when the show started. I'm sure that actors popping up from Deadwood & other shows got the same reaction that I have to Goggins. Kinda goes with the territory for character actors.

The inside joke with Coggins has gone on for way too long. But I guess you can say the same with everything SoA related.

Tommy didn't have enough lines. All he did was sit in a highchair while his brother tried to frame him for a crime he didn't commit.

TVLINE | How would you characterize these final three episodes?
I haven’t seen the episodes put together yet, and I haven’t fully read them, but the little bit I do know… it might be one of the best series finales of all time. The final episodes are f—ing beautiful.

My dream ending: The Sons (and related gangs & gangsters), corrupt cops, Wayne, etc. all die in a blazing shootout/stabfest.
Wendy & Nero escape with the kids to live happily ever after.

I want to see all of the remaining characters die, then I want to see everyone reunited in heaven, the entire cast, hanging out and happy, partying with Jesus.

This episode was all over the place and like the rest of season, had very limited coherence. I love how Sutter was able to compile a montage of fucking to start the show. The "gasp" by Jax at the end of the episode like he couldn't believe what the worst child actor ever his kid said was silly. I hope they keep extending the episodes to the point that the finale is 6 hours long and full of more 10-minute heart-to-hearts like Tiggy talking with Venus (seriously, what the fuck was the point of that scene?).
I can't wrap my head around anything with this show now. Maybe the Mexicans will end up having a drone drop a nuke on Charming, obliterating the city and putting any chance of a spin-off starring Abel in the future to bed.

That Venus/Tigg scene. At first I was Like "Oh Gawd" he we go again but.........as it went on, it truly was an amazing scene. I couldn't believe this was from SoA. Who wrote that? Surely it wasn't Sutter. Damn thing almost had me in tears.

Of course, in SOA last night, you're right in pointing out that they actually made a reference to it & then laughed. Especially a bit callous considering how enraged Jax & the boys were right after the massacre. Time evidently does heal all wounds. A few more sessions with the current skank-of-the-month, and Jax will be joking about how funny the fork looked sticking out of Tara's head. I'm sure that, now that revenge has been extracted, Bobby's missing eyeball & fingers are a grand source of amusement around the clubhouse. Fun times for all!

finale is going to be longer than the work print of Heaven's Gate, and make as much sense.
i don't know of a school in creation that lets a 5 year old go potty on their own. if this were the regular world they would have caught abel with the lunchbox of doom and then no way he could treat his arm like a stack of pancakes. hell, with his history of cracking people with it, wouldn't someone be very watchful when he was armed with it?
sutter wants a certain scene, and just writes that, even if it contradicts something from ten minutes ago, or how things work on the planet earth.
if people played a drinking game where you did a shot every time someone did something that made no fucking sense, people would be getting BAC's in the double digits.
this show in the parlance of another, much better show, sucks cock by choice
