Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead?

I know these shows couldn't be more different, but when i was listening to the best show category at the bleak and CBS-centric People's Choice Awards and heard both of these, both my favorites, i wondered which i like more...

i really don't know to tell the truth.

the intellectual in me wants to go with GoT which is daring, thrilling and utterly shocking at times. but TWD is brutal, sometimes brainless and not full of braun...

which do you prefer?

Game of Thrones by a mile. I've watched all seasons multiple times, whereas Walking Dead has some terrible stretches that last as long as half a season that I know I'll never watch again. Game of Thrones is complicated, but that's why it rewards careful watching and rewatching.

Re: Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead?

Despite a lot of frustrating elements (like Rick constantly flip-flopping regarding his method of leadership), I still greatly enjoy The Walking Dead overall. I never found Game of Thrones compelling (watched season 1 and sporadically watched a few other times but it never hooked me in). Heck, I can't name a single character on the latter show.

+1
I couldn't have said it better myself. I would have to seriously question the sanity of anyone rating The Walking Dead ahead of Thrones.

Gamle of Thrones, easily.

I still like Walking Dead, but there are as many lows as there are high points of the show which is frustrating as a viewer. Game of Thrones has been excellent the entire run so far.

Yea is this some kind of joke, am I being punked. Walking Dead is a weekly joke, Thrones is a masterpiece of tv. So are you high.

Re: Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead?

My vote is for Gamle of Thrones. I just binge-watched the entire Walking Dead up until the mid-season break and was frustrated watching some stretches of episodes with the ability to just roll right in to the next one. I couldn't imagine watching Season 2 live and coming away happy.

Re: Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead?

Game of Thrones easily wins this comparison, but I do enjoy TWD... most of the time. I'm still mad about Beth's death.

Oftentimes, TWD just throws out a death for shock value at the expense of the plot. The deaths on GoT mean something.

Game of Thrones by a country mile. Walking Dead is just too uneven, GOT has been consistently good.

Game of Thrones by a mile.

The Walking Dead is a very average show in most ways with a very cool premise. Most of the character are so poorly written that I just watch to see them die.

They are both genre shows that are adaptations of previous works that read better in their original formats (imo at least).

As much of a geek as I am, I don't have HBO and never watched a bit of Game of Thrones.

Re: Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead?

I was a big fan of the comics but I could barely make it through season 1 of the show. Everything besides the pilot was awful. Game of Thrones is one of my favorite shows on the air. Easy choice.

Re: Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead?

There's not much to guess. GoT ass raped TWD here. That's a fact here now. Throne's big black cock raped the bubbly and cute but ditzy blonde's asshole wide open.

so far.... 28 to 1. That's a lot of black dick in a tiny asshole, mate.

I was wondering if that was what the "Are you high?" category.

Game of Thrones and it's not even close. The writing and acting are so much better on Game of Thrones.

Re: Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead?

I've only finished 2 seasons of Game of Thrones and can already say that it is the better show, hands down. I still enjoy Walking Dead, but it didn't hook me in like GoT has.

Re: Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead?

Game Of Thrones is likely a benter done show. However I only watch the Walking Dead. I saw the first seas I need of GOH and only watched bits of the stories I was curious about. Just to depressing, cruel, dark etc... not that walking dead is not. I do have a limit.
