Now that this is over they should do a 10 episode series on who they think is the real killer. JK, probably need just one.

A new story I read speculates that OJ's older son Jason could possibly be the real killer. This is a good read.

This story presents some pretty compelling evidence. Apparently he was borderline psychotic.
Also, OJ had a lack of injuries to his body. Ron Goldman was trained in Karate and it was believed he and the assailant fought up to 15 minutes.

Forensic pathologist Michael Baden estimated Goldman may have struggled with his attacker for up to 15 minutes.
Yet when OJ’s body was examined and photographed by the police the next day, aside from a small cut on his finger, he was entirely free of any mark or injury.
How could OJ have been in such a violent struggle with Goldman the night before and not have sustained any injuries?

Who knows maybe they were both there?
According to a jury member..."I didn't understand the DNA stuff at all. To me, it was just a waste of time. It was way out there and carried no weight with me."
Quality stuff.

One thing this series has done for me is make me rethink how things played out, now that we have a lot more information. I didn't remember how damning Furmans recorded interviews were. Did everyone know that back then, or did the public just know what was admitted in front of the jury (the racial slurs)? As guilty as the evidence made OJ seem, here you had the main detective in charge of evidence admitting he hated blacks, framed them in the past and would do it in the future. If I was on the jury and knew about that, I think I'd have to acquit him too (since I don't think I could argue in a jury room that that wasn't some reasonable doubt there).

Yeah, you can look at the case and think that Fuhrman might have planted the glove, or that OJ took the fall for his kid, but OJ sure as hell didn't do himself any favors after his acquittal with that 900-number thing he did, or the book he wrote called "If I Did It."

1. It's hard to convict a celebrity. Look ar Robert Blake and Phil Specter. Took two trials to nail Specter, and he shot a woman dead in his own fucking house. And that asshole was, like, one tenth as famous as OJ.
2. This was just coming off of the Rodney King verdict, and you had a lot of people wanting to get back at the LAPD.
3. This happening in LA turned it into a media frenzy. They never should have allowed the trial to be televised.
4. Clark and Darden were way out of their depth. The defense ate them alive.
And, finally, Fuhrman completely fucked the case in the ass when those tapes came out.

Best show of this TV season. I had no intention of watching this, but decided to check out the premiere when it first aired. That opening crime scene hooked me immediately.
I hoped to be impressed by season 2.

Just finished the last episode. Am I out of my depth to call this whole thing a pop masterpiece? It's been AGES since I've seen anything on TV that really compelled me and wanted to tell other people about it. This is an impressive work.

I guess I didn't realize at 14 how much of a race issue this was. It's actually hard for me to believe that race was still that heated when I was a teenager! I remember just thinking that the jury ate up Johnny's shtick, not that it was all about race.
Fact or fiction, this was some of the best TV I've seen in years. Darden's speech to the media, ending with him breaking down with Goldman's family was damn well done.

Don't forget the idiot that took OJ's blood sample to the crime scene instead of just checking it in.

Makes me wonder, if Bob Kardashian barfed after OJ got away with murder, what would he reaction be if he saw what whores his daughters turned into.

It's so ballsy of Ryan Murphy to do these shows that reset every year, you've got shows like Castle and The Office that are these burnt out husks of shows at the end and you've got crap like The Slap and The Family that are like WTF is this garbage and you've got Ryan Murphy with 3 really unique shows that are mostly great until he focuses on the next show.

The Slap was not crap. Flawed but not crap.
If this trial happened today would they blame concussions or CTE for OJ's State of mind?
He looked ok when he worked at NBC for their football coverage but you never know. SNL did that sketch where he wrote "He Did It" on the telestrator lol.
Probably the Hurricane Katrina show will bomb since nobody watched Treme.

What concerns me however is the absence of show creators Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. Their work is just about always excellent and they did a stellar job here. Credit Murphy for the brilliant casting, but Alexander and Karaszewski made the show into the fascinating masterpiece it was.
