Wait, so you accepted "The Soup Nazi" here when the rules clearly said "name"?

Re: A Sheep Game About Nothing -- SEINFELD SHEEP
If last week I had gotten more response on the name issue, I would have asked people to resubmit with names. As it was, the only person who really answered was Decker, who said that I should demand names, but then was one of the people who submitted Soup Nazi, so I decided there was enough confusion to let this play out as a sheep question where there are no wrong answers.
My thinking was that if people had to come up with names, they would gravitate towards fewer answers, making this a sheepier question near the end.
I figured people would know Marla the virgin/Jane Leeves, Sidra/Teri Hatcher, Bookman/ Philip Baker Hall, Steinbrenner, Mr Pitt, and (of course) Babu Bhatt. I expected that Babu would be sheepiest and maybe some slams would impact the standings here at the end.

I was out of town all of next week and not able to log in so I'm looking at it all today. I was sure I'd be much further along but wow, I'm ending up in the bottom of the pack for this one. I wish I'd realized how many non-regular Seinfeld watchers are playing. I don't know if I could've done better with the answers I gave, but I'm a pretty big Seinfeld fan so who knows. Anyway, congrats to all toward the top.

Sorry, I'm going to challenge Candice Bergen appearing as herself. She never broke character and only appeared onscreen as Murphy Brown. That would be like saying Ted Danson appeared as himself on "Frasier".

It's not the same as Sam Malone visiting Fraiser. Murphy Brown doesn't appear in the Seinfeld universe as a real person. She appears as a character on a TV show, being played by Candice Bergen.

The premise of these Seinfeld episodes is that Kramer has moved to LA and become an actor who gets a part on the TV show Murphy Brown. It is absolutely clear that Murphy Brown is not a real person, and that Kramer as an actor is interacting with Candice Bergen as an actress on the set of Murphy Brown.

As I've explained, I wanted the characters names.
I would have had no problem with marking "The Soup Nazi" incorrect for the question about the trial, but the established rules are that there are no incorrect sheep answers.
I personally do not understand how people could think that "The Soup Nazi" or "The Bubble Boy" was someone's name, but those were the answers that were sent in.
Early on I floated the idea of asking for re-submission of answers but there was so little interest that I just decided to move forward as was.
If you want to challenge all those Soup Nazi matches on the trial question, provide a basis for the challenge within the rules. I don't know one.

One of my favorite sheep questions was "name George Harrison's best guitar solo" and of course the sheep answer was While My Guitar Gently Weeps... which Harrison didn't play...

The logic as I have explained it is airtight. Kramer got a job as an actor in LA working on the TV show Murphy Brown. Bergen appeared on Seinfeld as herself, the actress who plays Murphy Brown.
Elaine wrote a spec script for the TV show Murphy Brown. In the Seinfeld universe Murphy Brown and Melrose Place are TV shows that the characters watch.

Technically I think it was "guitar solo played by a Beatle," but yeah, that was good. That's probably still my all-time favorite Sheep game.

I never would have ended up marking the answers wrong on the trial question because I would have insisted that the players provide different answers in replacement.

Hey, don't be bringing me into this. I'm fine with referring to characters as Soup Nazi or Bubble Boy or Mulva and have never said anything to the contrary.
I just think when it says Name a character, you shouldn't say "girl who sees Jerry pick his nose" or "girl with real breasts" which is why I didn't pick Sidra - I didn't remember that character name. I don't appreciate being singled out like that when it clearly isn't appropriate or accurate.
And you're right that there isn't such a thing as an incorrect Sheep answer.

How is "girl who sees Jerry pick his nose" a description, but "The Bubble Boy" is a name?

I don't care what it says on IMDb.
