re: Warrior (Now on Max) -- From the creator of Banshee and Justin Lin

In the wake of the race riots that upended Chinatown in season two, Mai Ling uses her government connections to consolidate power, while Ah Sahm and the Hop Wei must find new ways to survive. A new season of Warrior premieres June 29 on Max.

Can't wait for season 3. Just glad we're getting one. I feel like this show doesn't really have a big fan base and doesn't generate a lot of publicity, but it's a damn good show. Considering this show started out as a Cinemax original and those shows nobody watched, I'm just glad it's on a bigger platform now.

I agree. It takes some of the Western tropes and turns them on their heads. I really like the show.

Both seasons are in Vudu’s two for $17.99 sale, in case you don’t trust HBO to keep it available forever (I don’t).

Re: Warrior (Now on Max) -- From the creator of Banshee and Justin Lin

I recently binged the two seasons since I'd heard good things but never got around to it. Loving the show - it has the most impressive fight choreography I've ever seen on TV and better than probably 90% of the action films out there too. So many total badasses.

The opening fight sequence in the first episode was so badass. Broken bones, necks and severed limbs. 3 episodes dropped. It’s probably going to take me a day or so to get caught up. So much good stuff and so little time.

Re: Warrior (Now on Max) -- From the creator of Banshee and Justin Lin

Alright I finally powered through the first 3 episodes. Really good stuff. The show hasn't missed a beat in the last couple of years. Great fight scenes and choreography.

Lots going on. Big power play in Chinatown with Mai Ling. Ah Sahm and Young Jun now involved in a counterfeit bills scheme. And a fight over Nellie's land. And then Lee coming back into the mix.

Love seeing Mark Dacascos added into the mix this season. And Dylan is a total badass.

That was a pretty tense sequence in the final act of the 3rd episode. Ah Toy is still nursing a shoulder injury and now Nellie's property is all burned down. Lots going on.

Re: Warrior (Now on Max) -- From the creator of Banshee and Justin Lin

I watched all three episodes on Friday. So great to have this show back. While a number of things happened, I felt like there was still a lot of set-up going on. It’ll be interesting to see where it all leads. Side note: This show never had nudity like Banshee, but now they seem to be going out of their way to avoid it,

Liking this season so far. That attack scene at the vineyard with everything on fire was really well done. Whats-her-name (the lady who owns the vineyard) seems really naive. Mai Ling got betrayed by that white couple--they better watch their backs!

Just watched episode 8. Damn, a lot of shit went down in this one! Loved that final shot.

Two more episodes remaining in season 3.

Caught up with a few episodes last night. Only 2 behind now. Did anyone notice the Shannon Lee cameo in episode 6? She played the mother of the kid who was murdered by the Germans

Wow, badass sequence with Young Jun, Ah Sahm and the Germans.

What happening to the two sisters Penelope and Sophie? Are they dropped from the show?

I'm guessing this will have to serve as a series finale given how Max is with the cancellation axe these days. One of my favorite shows in recent years.

Penelope is in an insane asylum. I’m assuming Sophie is out of the picture because Penelope is gone.

Fantastic wrap up to a fantastic season. I binged the last 3 episodes and it just kept ratcheting up. Ah Sahm vs the tong was great (though I wanted Hong to put up more of a fight - he always seemed like the most matched to Ah Sahm as far as skill and I figured that showdown would be more epic).

Fingers crossed it comes back - I ripped though all of Banshee a few weeks ago and I can’t lose another show from this team.

A lot happened in that last episode. I’d love to see the show come back but we’ll see.

I sure hope not--definitely one of my favorite series in a long time.
