2 Ultimate Warrior shows in one week.

Cornette did not mince words saying the Warrior could not talk or wrestle.

Re: Dark Side of the Ring on Viceland

Ultimate Warrior's rise and brief reign was my peak enjoyment of wrestling and the WWF. Sad to hear he was a jerk behind the scenes. I've always wondered what Hulk Hogan thought of Warrior and how the WWF wanted Warrior in the role Hogan had so capably carried during the 80s.

Cornette had no comments after he died on the show.

I wonder if they will do a NWO episode?

That would be fun to watch.

Wow the most recent one with Jake the Snakes family...

Never had any type of inkling on that.

Re: Dark Side of the Ring on Viceland

No wonder he turned to drugs if he had that guy as a father.

I know it was uncomfortable to talk about but if one of the family members turned in their dad or talked to the police he could have been locked up and saved more people from his abuse.

Re: Dark Side of the Ring on Viceland

Jake talked about his family history in Beyond the Mat, which was a devastating documentary on its own.

I'd forgotten how cute Rockin Robin was back then. But everyone knew she, Sam, and Jake were siblings, it was no secret.

The Warrior docs were weird. One had his first wife but not the second while the other was reversed. And neither mentioned his WCW run. But at least he made amends with people before he died.

Re: Dark Side of the Ring on Viceland

I was a big Bulldogs fan as a kid, I had the two action figures his daughter had, so the Dynamite Kid episode was a tough watch.

Interesting how his story almost parallel Benoit’s since I had read Harley Race said he wished he had never started doing the flying head butt since he believes the damage from them copying it was part of what caused Benoit and Kid’s issues.

Re: Dark Side of the Ring on Viceland

It was sad how it ended up in the end.

I knew he was 5"9 but he took the Napoleon complex too far with all the fights or if that was the effects of CTE.

Amazingly, DSotR downplayed his bullying. Dynamite was a nasty, vile piece of work, far worse than portrayed. More than a few people said good riddance when he died.

That sucks

I thought maybe they were taking a week off unless the other episodes are not finished or ready to air until Sept.

JR must really be done talking about the "Plane Ride from Hell" since they got him to swear at the end of that trailer.

Re: Dark Side of the Ring on Viceland

Well the Plane Ride from Hell episode was okay. My takeaway from it is that everyone who was there have talked about it way too much and would rather forget it by now. The only thing new about it was interviewing one of the flight attendants you felt bad for what she went through especially since she said she was a new mom at the time.

Re: Dark Side of the Ring on Viceland

Great episode! Yeah, interviewing the flight attendant really hit home how frightening and stressful it was. Didn't know about the firings as a consequence.

That kind of behavior, privatized or commercial flight would never go down in this day/age. Especially what Ric Flair reportedly did. Ugh.

Re: Dark Side of the Ring on Viceland

It is pro wrestling but I wonder if some of these stories they cover are exaggerated or made up in some areas just like wreslting to make it more entertaining.

Re: Dark Side of the Ring on Viceland

Dreamer came off as the type of guy who calls someone a snowflake when they get mad because he uses a slur.

RVD casually throwing out how guys drugged and raped girls
