What if Superman never existed? Set two generations before the destruction of Superman's home planet, KRYPTON follows Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe), the legendary Man of Steel's grandfather, as a young man who fights to save his home planet from destruction. Season 2 brings us back to a changed Kandor, locked in a battle over its freedom and its future. General Dru-Zod (Colin Salmon) is now in control. He's on a ruthless mission to rebuild Krypton according to his ideals and to secure its future by conquering the universe. Faced with a bleak outlook, our hero, Seg-El, attempts to unite a dispersed group of resisters in an effort to defeat Zod and restore hope to their beloved planet. Their chance at redemption is threatened however, by their opposing tactics, shifting alliances and conflicting moral boundaries - forcing each of them to individually determine how far they're willing to go in pursuit of a better tomorrow.

Season 1 aired last Spring. Weird that SyFy chose to air season 2 in the summer instead.
It was a good 1st season. I guess I shouldn't be surprised this wasn't more popular because it airs on cable and SyFy and their shows are usually not popular discussion shows here.
The actor who plays Brainiac said in a new interview that David Goyer's plan for this show is 5-6 seasons.

I'm making it through s1 on DCU right now. I think I better pick up the pace though, not sure when they'll rotate it out.. Liking it so far.

My only real complaint about the show is that they need to stop filming every episode on the same 4 or 5 sets. It doesn't feel like an entire planet, it feels like a space station.
Otherwise, I loved S1 and can't wait for tonight

Show question... Do they ever explain how Adam Strange can be in Kryponian gravity? Or is he a hologram as well and I missed this fact?

Was surprised to see the introduction of Lobo in the 1st episode.
I'm not really familiar with the character, but I guess he's some kind of smart ass bounty hunter. He did look like his comic counterpart.
Some good stuff in the episode. I at the "Shithead alert" meter. I was surprised they "killed off" Brainiac or appear to have killed him off. With him being an AI, I bet he'll return in a future episode. They've depicted him as a big foe in this series.

There is no chance Brainiac is dead. Seg wouldn’t have a prayer against him one on one. More than likely he is possessing Seg like he did the orient last season.

Ep 1 of season 2 is on DC Universe. I either missed the memo that it season 2 would be on DCU as it airs or i just assumed it would be on next year like most streaming services.

This kind of opinion is why threads are mostly dead in this forum. So you would rather wait 11 weeks from now to share your thoughts? If you're going to continue to watch. This is not a Netflix binge show.

Really liked the second episode. Lobo was great. Lots of easter eggs if you are into the comics for lobo.

Nearly everything he said about his past was from the comics like murdering his parents and his entire race using weird insects he created. At one point he goes into a long list of the different titles he had, all are from the comics even the ones that sound weird. A couple time he uses catch phrase insult which is a combination of two cuss words. He stated what his name means which is from the comics. Just a ton of stuff.

Fun stuff but I fear it might suffer from "too many thread"-itus with Colu, Krypton capital, Krypton wastes, the Moon, etc. I like the space elevator between Krypton and the moon (and the elevator "car" turning mid flight).

I've only seen the 1st episode. I've been busy catching up on a ton of other stuff I fell behind on. But, I will catch up soon.
I think 6 episodes have aired, but yeah I'm a little surprised a DC science fiction show based on Superman isn't generating more interest. But then again this forum has been quite dead this summer and SyFy shows are very hit and miss with board discussion. Mostly miss. The Magicians, one of SyFy's most popular shows, hardly generates any talk here. People here seem to just watch it and not care to talk about it.
