It was kind of odd when Ellen just showed up at Pam's front door in broad daylight in the middle of suburbia like that. It really didn't like something a sitting president would do or be allowed to do by the Secret Service. Almost seemed like they were implying she had resigned.

She did it once already when it was still all a big secret. But yeah, it could go either way with how they presented it. We also don't know what happened with her family after her speech.

Yeah, that was confusing/not clarified. She was certainly alive going back to save more people...did something collapse on her? Maybe they'll straighten that out next season, or maybe they won't.

I can not imagine a sitting POTUS not having a house cleared before entering. I have trouble seeing a secure facility like Johnson not having a security checkpoint and looking in the back of the van and every vehicle before they enter the site too.

Another thing I noticed…did no one at JSC notice that the statue of Gordo and Tracey was stolen? It was never mentioned again after the bombers showed up and gave it to the son.

Secret Service was there. And she did the same thing earlier in the season.

Need to reduce the soapy drama. It was so over the top and ridiculous in S3.

I absolutely love this show and the new season looks great but I think Ed and Danielle would be in their 80s by the time this season airs Time to let the original cast move aside if they want to go much further.

That looks fucking incredible. Can't wait.

Is this the longest timespan that one show has ever covered? I love seeing what happens during these big leaps forward.

According to the wiki, Ed was born in 1929 so he'd be 74 in 2003. According to the same wiki, Danielle was born in 1944 so she'd be 59.

Here's a list of the oldest astronauts - ranging from late 50s to mid 70s in age. So not completely crazy, but for Ed at least, this definitely feels like "one last ride".

More like 60's if you assume they were early/mid 20's in 1969. But yeah, old enough that they wouldn't be going on multi year missions to Mars anymore.

I binged the first three seasons sometime in the last year. Agree that S3 started to lose a lot of the charm of the first two seasons. Sadly, I have to say the trailer for Season 4 does not look all that interesting to me. Still, I am excited and will give it a shot!

Absolutely.

Looking forward to this, but anything to do with Danny is just annoying.

Re: For All Mankind (Apple TV+) -- S: Joel Kinnaman -- NASA series from the creator of Battlestar Galacti

We got a(nother) free few months of Apple TV+ with my wife's recent iPhone upgrade, so I suppose it's time to put it to use. I let the last trial lapse after Season 3, and part of me wishes I had stopped after Season 2. I am looking forward to one of the series' biggest annoyances not being back for another season, at least.

Cool first episode. I gotta assume most, if not all the legacy characters are going to die some how so they can keep the story going into the future.

Sucky way for Grigory to go out.

I can't decide whether to watch now or wait until the whole season is released so I can binge. I'm not good at delaying gratification.

They pretty much do a ten-year jump between seasons. I wonder if they'll make a bigger jump between season four and five (maybe to the current time), or if five will be set in the early twenty-tens.
