Re: Star Wars: The Bad Batch (Disney+) - premieres 5/4/2021

Yeah, definitely a good episode. Part of me thought when that Imperial ship landed at that base that maybe Vader or Palpatine would be inside. I believe that’s the same type of ship that Palpatine arrives to the Death Star II in.

Spoiler:
The ending cliffhanger is good. The Crosshair storyline has been building up, and it seemed like only a matter of time before something happened between him and the rest of the Batch, or just Hunter. Curious how the final couple episodes for the season will play out.

"Return to Kamino" (S01E15), the penultimate episode, did not disappoint.

That's all that I am going to say!

(Now I have this in the right place!)

Re: Star Wars: The Bad Batch (Disney+) - premieres 5/4/2021

Good last couple of episodes. Going to be a long wait for season two.

Spoiler:
Finding out that Crosshair just is how he is, and doesn’t have an inhibitor chip is interesting. Adds more of a conflict. I wasn’t sure if he would go with the Batch or stay on his own, but clearly he thinks his path is still with the Empire.

A lot of the stuff that happened in part two were pretty convenient to get where they needed to be to survive, but I’m not complaining too much.

I was glad that Omega saved AZI with Crosshair’s help.

Also was that the first time that Kamino has been shown in daylight? To my recollection it is.

Curious what the Empire has in store for Nala Se.

Re: Star Wars: The Bad Batch (Disney+) - premieres 5/4/2021

Finally started watching this. I'm just past the one where they get the inhibitor chips removed. I was hesitant as I found the batch really annoying when I watched a few episodes of the final Clone Wars season, but this is actually pretty decent. The kid, however, adds absolutely nothing to the story.

Omega is a tad annoying, but she adds more to the show as the season goes on. Also I agree about not liking the Batch much in the final season of The Clone Wars. They felt really shoehorned in, but they work better in their own show.

Re: Star Wars: The Bad Batch (Disney+) - premieres 5/4/2021

I binged the last 6 episodes on Saturday and I eagerly await season 2. As I have noted earlier in this thread, I did not watch The Clone Wars (the show period, not just The Bad Batch episodes) but found myself enjoying the world I was dropped into with this show. For those who are in the same boat I was and have let some episodes pile up, I am of the opinion they are pretty quick binges and for the most part if you are watching them in the background there are only truly a handful of moments that you will absolutely not want to miss and pay some attention to them, such as the Crosshair revelation, some info about Omega in the last or second to last episode, stuff like that. This show was a fine addition to the extended Star Wars universe of shows/films.

I really enjoyed the ending and the show overall. As I wrote earlier, this is my first time watching a Star Wars show weekly as it came out and I enjoyed the experience. Good stuff and I'm up for more.

^ Ye Gods, I really wish they'd just throw the Sequel Trilogy down the memory hole and pretend like it never happened.

I hate to think that all the good shows they're doing on D+ are just leading up to that fucking turd.

OK, so I read somewhere else that apparently that mountain fortress that Nala Se is taken to at the end is officially Mount Tantiss on Wayland (from Heir to the Empire). Wow!

Loved the first two episodes and how they incorporated Dooku's palace (castle? base?) into the storyline. Really striking is some of the animation.

Watched the first two episodes tonight. Good start to the season. It was pretty cool to see Dooku’s palace again. I preferred the season one armor versus the new armor personally.

Really enjoyed the third episode. I felt the first two were formulaic and kinda pointless. Omega learns a lesson, so what? But this advances the overall plot nicely and features a major development for a fan favorite character. Great stuff. Keep 'em coming.

Re: Star Wars: The Bad Batch (Disney+) - premieres 5/4/2021

Episode three was great. Best of the season so far. Loved seeing Cody back and good to see Crosshair. I like the Batch but it was good to have an episode without them as the focus. Also cool to see Battle Droids and other Separatist droids.
