The intro was bizarre to me on episode 1, but by episode 3 I was entirely on board with it

It gets funnier the more you get to know the characters.

That is a ridiculous intro lol

I laughed harder than I have in awhile when Vigilante was making faces while they were being held captive and he said "I'm distorting my face so he can't recognize me in a lineup" it was so dumb but so funny

I have a vague memory of Superman moving his face at high speeds so it would be blurry in pictures. That moment in Peacemaker struck me as making fun of that

re: Peacemaker (Max) -- C: James Gunn, S: John Cena

Watched the first episode last night.
I actually laughed more at the first half of the episode than I have at TV in a long time.
The intro was great.
Eagly is awesome.
Not sure what's happening at the end of E1 but I'm down for it.
Smith's life sure isn't what one would think.
I assume/hope we'll learn more about his personal life because when he went
Spoiler:
home, it was tough to reconcile Auggie's attitude toward him with the work and effort in the closet.

Good stuff.

I blew through all three episodes last night and loved them. Opening credits sequence is amazing, and I loved how Peacemaker had to take all of those glam metal records with him because he is such a fan. (Pretty Boy Floyd! I haven't heard that album in years, my jaw dropped when that cover was shown in that first shot of the records. )

There's so many quotable lines from Peacemaker and Vigilante.

I just wish it wasn't Adrian Chase because he's obviously not a former DA turned trial Judge, but I understand why he's portrayed this way in the context of the series. And I'm fine with that. They didn't do that great of a job with him in Arrow either.

First ep was flat out fun and so enjoyable. The cast, the creative, the writing, the bonkers, the opening dance sequence (I can’t get tired of it). Just flat out fun!

This show is bonkers! Loved all three episodes. The whole sequence with his "Hookup" was the best part .
at Cena using the vibrator as a microphone singing

This is yet another reason I prefer DC’s TV/animation over movies. See, not everything has to be grimdark nonsense. Let’s talk about how ridiculous superheroes are and actually have some fun!

I think I missed quite a bit from laughing so much. What a great start to the series.

I don't think this is the best example since it's very much of a piece with James Gunn's The Suicide Squad.

I just appreciate when DC doesn’t take itself so seriously.

It seems to be pretty much inline with the Harley Quinn cartoon and Doom Patrol at least.

I blame The Batman for that.

Sure, he's cool and all (I guess) but every single part of the DC universe doesn't have to follow that mold.

This show is awesome! I love the intro. The first time I was like WTF, but now it just gets funnier each time I see it.

And the music throughout each episode is great. Holy shit, Firehouse! I looked and there is an official Spotify playlist from James Gunn:

This is one of those shows where I keep trying to figure where I know the bit actors from. In this case it's the married couple that I had to look up and the answer is he's from For All Mankind and she's from Arrow -- although we never saw quite this much of her on that show.

My first concert was Warrant, Trixter and Firehouse. Got my ear pierced that day too. Big day.

I'm collecting vinyl these days and geeked out when I saw that Firehouse album. Went online and it goes for about $180! Not quite ready to commit that much

re: Peacemaker (Max) -- C: James Gunn, S: John Cena

I'm now caught up with the first 3 episodes. Wow, this show rocks. The opening credits sequence is weird, yet amazing. It's funny, violent and vulgar and I think this is the perfect vehicle for John Cena. The music is also great too. I know it's two completely different genres, but I had more fun with these 3 episodes than Boba Fett.

I also loved that it took place literally right after The Suicide Squad. So it felt like it had some continuity with the movie.

I was laughing so hard when Peacemaker and Vigilante were having that discussion in episode 2 about him being a perv with a hard cock and jizzing everywhere.

when Vigilante was getting his toes hacked off by that Butterfly and Peacemaker was getting nauseous. at Peacemaker's Dad being some kind Nazi white power leader in prison. Good on Peacemaker for getting to bang the grouchy housewife

The post credit scenes are funny, but they seem more like deleted scenes.

I love The Suicide Squad, but so far this isn't doing it for me. I'll probably keep watching though, to see if it gets better.

I’m actually the opposite. Didn’t love The Suicide Squad as much as I wanted to, but so far I’m loving Peacemaker. One of the best things DC has done in a while in my opinion. Can’t wait for the rest of the episodes.

Also the soundtrack is great. I already bought the opening credits song as well as the version of Pumped Up Kicks from the end credits of episode two.

So far it reminds me of Ash vs. Evil Dead in that it's wall-to-wall bonkers and full of stuff I never expected to see on TV even though it's on "cable." James Gunn must've had a blast doing all the things he can't get away with on his superhero feature films.

re: Peacemaker (Max) -- C: James Gunn, S: John Cena

I like in the first episode when he's banging that chick and yells out "Freeeeeeeeedom!" The sight gags are also hilarious. In that 3rd episode during the slide show then the pussy pic comes through -- I started rolling!

I think what adds even more humor to it is the awkwardness of almost everyone here. It holds nothing back in terms of raunchiness sex, racist humor (Egg Foo Young), etc. It's quite refreshing.
