Liam Hemsworth? They couldn't find a better actor?

Probably also has to do with his price tag. Cheaper replacement for Cavill. Otherwise Netflix probably would’ve canceled it.

With Cavill going back to playing Superman, this isn’t really a surprise.

They should have just cancelled the show then. Cavill is Geralt. Liam Hemsworth doesn't have the acting chops to play Geralt.

100% agree. Cavill is a fan of the series and his passion not only brought the show to life but he played the character perfectly. If he isn't there it's not worth watching. What a disappointment.

Wow. Disappointing. This just shows what a money maker this show is for Netflix, if they are replacing Cavill and going with a lesser actor.

Season 2 was barely worth watching even WITH Cavill. He really was perfect in this role, just engrossed in the character and made it what it was. Fuck. No way I'm watching.

Season 2 was pure crap except for the first episode. Season 1 was only slightly better. I get this was never going to be 100% faithful to the books, and that's fine if the alterations were any good. Season 1's third episode, "Betrayer Moon", is how to do it right. It wasn't 100% faithful to "The Witcher" from The Last Wish but it was an engaging episode that gave us a nice alternate version of Geralt's first meeting with Triss Merrigold. Season 2's "A Grain of Truth" was similarly well done. Everything else ranged from meh to crap.

Now they have the lead who fits to their Hercules/Xena approach to the series. The show was a complete disappointment. It looked cheap, the time jumps in Season 1 couldn't have more confusing and the storytelling was over all weak. Henry Cavill was a rose sprouting on a dung heap. His performance was great, everything else not so much.

No doubt Cavill, who's a giant gaming nerd and loves The Witcher, isn't happy about the changes and the fact that the writer's have expressed a dislike for the source material. I'd bail too.

Broken record here...Cavill was by far the best thing about this show. Weird that they renewed it.

Yep, without Cavill I have no more interest in this show. Sad.
