I really dislike the present day stuff. Even more so in this first episode than last season.
It's a damn shame 'cause I really like the flashbacks.

Good set up. I like the present day stuff much more when the women are together. Being separated makes it much less fun. I do enjoy the Jeff stuff though.
Banger needle drops. Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage, and Tori Amos in the same episode? That's an embarrassment of riches.

And that episode title : Friends, Romans, Countrymen.

I was waiting for this episode. Didn’t disappoint. The end sequence was so good

It really was. Another spectacular needle drop. I know the album is probably overrated, but that OK Computer song hit SO hard. What an amazing final scene.

Is this an easy binge worthy show?

I don't understand the question. It's a really good show now in its second season. You could binge all of it released so far in 12 hours if you want.

Definitely inspired by LOST. If you liked that, you'll probably like this.

I think it’s self explanatory. Is this a breezy right through it type show? Or, slow burn type show where it takes a bit?

It's nasty fun as a pitch-black comedy, but I certainly wouldn't describe it as "breezy".

OK Computer is a masterpiece from start to finish. And it still holds up.

the budget for music must be enormous. ( I have no idea how much it costs to get music in a show )
But the folks doing it are exceptional

It was nice of the evil forest power to set up that self-basting rig for the BBQ.

So was the friend already eating her while she was frozen in the cabin for 2 months? Was that the point of the ear being cut off and the arm being cut?

Jackie's ear fell off last episode, just because her corpse was frozen solid. Shauna kept it in her pocket, mostly out of shame and embarrassment. Then while caressing it (and after the girls downstairs yelled "Shauna, dinner!"), she impulsively ate it. This episode, Shauna has clearly fallen into a deeper state of insanity and had her imaginary version of Jackie tell her that it was okay to have a bite of her. That's why Shauna didn't want anyone to take off Jackie's coat -- not out of respect for Jackie, but rather to keep the horrifying truth from coming out (though Lotte saw, she didn't say anything).

Thank you. I have to rewatch that first episode. I was preoccupied and wasn't paying much attention during it

Re: Yellowjackets (Showtime) - S: Christina Ricci, Juliette Lewis, Melanie Lynskey

The present day stories are dragging this show down. They either are spinning their wheels (Lottie’s Cult and whatever is going on with Taissa) or just dumb like Shauna disarming the car jacker and then going and threatening the guy who owns the chop shop with the gun.

I did laugh at Van’s “You ate her face!” when Taissa was freaking out

^ That line was an all-timer.
And I'm always up for a Melanie Lynskey monolog. Especially about the difficulties of skinning humans.
But come on, who carjacks a minivan?

Human traffickers? I'd actually imagine it's a common vehicle to steal for that reason alone.

Maybe but wouldn't you just hot wire a parked minivan if you really want to steal a minivan? I always thought it's the fancy sports cars that get car jacked..

I should look it up....
