Well, as I said, I didn’t even know it existed and I watch a lot of tv. Not so much AP but everything else and never heard of this.

This was fucking awesome. Slow to start, but once it kicked in, it went into overdrive and I was enthralled. Good stuff.

Liked the first episode. Was pretty entertaining. Weird sex supe stuff is always funny. Thought the lead was pretty good despite the cliche origin story. Curious to see where it goes from here.

Okay, finally watched the third episode so I can come back to this thread. Fantastic all the way through so far. My personal theory is that
but that's mainly because the rest of the cast seems rock solid as far as being on one side.

I don't view The Boys or this show as "superhero" genre as much as a satire of society in general with superheroes being stand ins for public figures. I too thought I would get burnt out on the primary series until I started to look at it through those lens.
Glad to see that like its predecessor, this series isn't afraid to "go there" when it comes to certain aspects of super powers.

I mean it's way way over the top (and yet still not nearly as over the top as the source material) but it does make it stand out amongst other superhero fare. Plus it's not like the seasons are long or it's all that hard to catch up.
Plus in my particular case it's easier to watch something if I don't have to wait because the kids are also interested in watching it.
I will say that while the "gross" factor is still high, the cast at least currently is a whole lot more likeable than the cast of the Boys, like by design.

Hmm. I, too, had no idea this was on the radar. I never really thought myself squeamish by any means, but I really ended up finding the gore level uncomfortable in The Boys. If this is worse, not sure I wanna watch...

I'm not sure if it's worse, but I can tell you you'll know in the first like 15 minutes if it's too much for you (though by then maybe it's too late)

I liked the 3 eps. Certainly different than The Boys, but still pumps its blood. The only thing I’m sad about is no more Clancy Brown.

That's a pretty accurate adaptation of Tek Knight, actually, like down to his "condition" and the reason for it. Love the name of his show too and the little "hints" they drop before the reveal.
Also Marie being able to control blood inside the body is confirmed. What a power up.

We need less dicks and more tits on this show.
Tek Knight was great. Especially the reveal about his proclivities.

When I first read about this show I rolled my eyes. It sounded stupid and just an excuse to milk the cash cow that is The Boys franchise. But after 4 episodes, I'm happy I gave it a shot. Entertaining stuff

Too bad Tek Knight couldn't handle the "Whole" Truth...
That's also a pretty unique usage of tv's Jason Ritter.
The cool thing about this as a spin off is that you don't even have to watch all of the Boys to understand or enjoy this. There is one significant spoiler, which is the source of superpowers in this world, but beyond that...

One of the few shows I'll watch like right after it comes out, so it's doing something right.
The best scene was spoiled by the trailers and played out exactly how I thought it would, but still satisfying.
Out of all of these horrifying powers I still think Rufus (and Cate) have the most terrifying ones.

I'm really enjoying the show so far, it's a great spinoff of an awesome show.
