How many cast members will they lose between now and then?

Surprised with Gleeson. Not seeing anything that he's currently in that's big enough to have him as a host. I like him as an actor, but it's still a surprising choice.

Don't like all three musical guests, but I suspect MTS will be the best of the three hosts. That seems to happen more when a musical guest winds up putting in better hosting performances than actual actors.
I'll watch that episode just for MTS's solid body.

He was a frequent guest on Howard Stern for years and made some snide remark about Howard without saying his name during one of his shows or interviews this year. I can't remember which. Because Stern is pro-mask, pro-vaccine, pro-Biden and anti-Trump. Howard mentioned this about 9 months ago. And you could tell in his voice he was a little shocked and even irked at Breuer's comments. So both Breuer and Rob Schneider can both go fuck themselves.

I know it is surprising when they have people like Kim Kardashian host but they have had quality actors host like Gleeson, Kietel, Oscar Isaac, and De Niro etc host in the past.

DeNiro was horrible. He isn't made for sketch comedy.

How dare they have a different opinion than the almighty Howard Stern!

Considering what a great actor he is, it was really painful to watch.

He was, like, football player bad.

Thanks for missing the point. He was what they call a friend of the show. And he made snide remarks about Stern. Because of what Howard's beliefs are.

Wow!

Just spent 20 minutes of my life listening to some of Breuer's "comedy" and straight up ranting. He's a fucking loon . . . and not in a funny way. Absolutely awful.

If Stern was giving him a platform for years, then Howard must be the most loyal and forgiving soul in media.

And Harvey Keitel went all the way with Pat.

That's an insult to Peyton Manning --- who was excellent compared to DeNiro.

"Absolutely awful." Agree. And he's an even worst guest on Stern. I alway tuned out when he was on. But most of Howard's fans apparently love him. Which is why he was on the show a lot.

How dare you mock a guy who can do a excellent James Hetfield impersonation?

Ha, just saw on Entertainment Tonight that Chris Redd is dating Kennan Thompson's wife (they're divorcing). That would have been a bit awkward if they were still on SNL together. Wonder if that had anything to do with him leaving.

Wow. The behinds the scenes shenanigans are much more exciting than the onscreen shenanigans.

Chris also played Kenan's brother on "Kenan." Good thing that just got canceled, huh?

Kenan Thompsons ex is a hottie but thought Redd would have a little more respect than that

Maybe you should not get into music or be ind a band but be on SNL if you want to date the hot chicks

Re: "Saturday Night Live" Pre-season Chat: The 48th Season (2022-2023)

No thread for this week's episode yet, but I saw a bumper for it last night during L&O, and unlike past outings it wasn't Miles Teller and Kendrick Lamar with the "I'm hosting SNL this week...", it was just a generic collection of clips and an announcement of who the host and MG were.

Taran Killam hosts a new NFL comedy show on Amazon before Thursday Night Football.

It seems he did not flourish like Armisen, Samberg, Sudekis, and Hader post SNL.

He must've thought his career was headed for major upward trajectory after being an in Oscar winning film.
To be fair, he still gets a decent amount of work - even though he's not the lead in anything other than his failed sitcom.

According to his wikipedia entry, he did not quit SNL, he was shown the door.

More than a decent amount of work, he has an ongoing VO gig, plus two years on the sitcom. He wrote and directed a movie. Nor sure why people think that if you leave SNL and don't become Will Ferrell, then you fucked up.

Also, his wife makes enough money for the both of them.

All of ^ that ^ yes. Taran Killam also is the title voice actor for Nature Cat which is extremely popular and actually a pretty good kid show, he's doing just fine.
