Or we can just drop it. The last thing I want is bad blood between us (or anyone else) over a difference of opinion. We're nowhere near that point but I have seen how randomly things can escalate in threads (just look at the nonsense that went down in the Black Adam thread).

I wanted to right a short comment to She-Hulk, but I guess I have to talk about T'Challa instead.
My friends all hated the show and since the CGI looked so bad in the trailers, I wasn't really hyped to watch the show. I gave it a shot last week and since the episodes aren't that long, I watched the whole season.
It's pretty bad, they kind of went for Ally McBeal without the clever writing of David E. Kelley, so most of the time it didn't work. They managed to ruin a cool villain like Emil Blonsky (and I hate the re-design of Abomination, which is from Shang Chi). She-Hulk was animated really bad. She never looked real to me and or movement always felt a little off, kind of slowed down and to smooth.
What they didn't manage was telling a story throughout the season.
Some of the funny lawyer stuff worked. Madisynn was great, so were Mr. Immortal and Johnny Blaze. If they had focused more on the courtroom comedy, the show could have been better.

It could have been really good if they had based it more on Harvey Birdman. A third tier or below hero and villain in court every week, with She Hulk trying to keep everything from falling apart all the time.

I didn't hate it, I just didn't like it, but since people hate very fast nower days, I'm not surprised this show got hate. Trying to be clever and making fun of fandom without being clever, is bound to make some people angry.
And of course there are those guys who hate it, because it's a female comic hero.

I finally got around to watching this series and loved it. Will there be a season 2?

Bummer. I though this was one of the better Marvel tv shows that I have watched.

Not the definitive announcement but what has been surmised.

Too bad. Might have been my favorite MCU show. Never hit the highs of something like Wandavision but also didn’t go getting all Marvely at the end like Wandavision.

I liked this show, but I’m neutral on it being renewed. If it does, I’ll watch. If not, it wont bother me.

I'd like to see this character pop up in other shows/movies. She did a great job with the role.

Agreed. Blowing the budget out of proportion likely doomed them, but she was awesome. Still need (not a lot) more of Madisynn, too.

Agreed Whenever Madisynn isn’t on screen all the superheroes should be asking “ Where is Madisynn?”

I enjoyed the show but not at the reported cost per episode. Hopefully she pops back up in other shows or a movie.

I watched the first 3 episodes and tuned out. It was pretty fucking awful - didn't give a shit how it ended.

Everybody has their own tastes, but I really enjoyed it. Just pure fun. A shame if that's it for it.

I want a Madisyn and Biscuits (from Echo) crossover event.

I can't imagine the costs involved in making them, but having live-action "What If..." types of episodes pairing up secondary characters could be awesome.

I may be wrong or misremembering, but didn't they scrap a whole bunch of stuff and start over at one point? I realize that those were technically costs of the production, but isn't it kind of disingenuous to consider those in the "cost per episode" (at least when considering the future of the project)?

All I really remember is that production either got shut down or delayed due to COVID-19, and that they re-ordered the episodes so that her "origin" story was the first one; the original intent was for it be shown in flashback in a later episode.

I think they had to re-work a lot of the She-Hulk special effects before it dropped on Disney+, though, so that might have contributed to the runaway budget.

This was also made at a time when they were coming off of Endgame and thought the MCU shit gold, and they probably weren't worrying much about budgets.
