I mean if everyone from the Shrike boarded the Titan... couldn't Picard and team just mount a rescue mission for Riker and take the Shrike? Shades of Wrath of Khan.
And are these changelings more vulnerable in solid form than liquid, or is just everyone a bad shot at the goo from point blank range?
Spiner was doing some good work shifting from Lore to Data.

Um, yeah, so they're in the middle of a crisis where they're being boarded by Changelings, and they have Lore on the ship and not only don't shut him down (does Data still have an off switch?) but keep him somewhere where he can seize control of the ship?

I had that book at one point. Shatner was really unhappy that Kirk was killed off in Generations that he wrote that book to resurrect him.

this season truly has been wonderful.
I had lost hope long ago after Disco and 2 seasons of Picard.
the showrunner for this show should be given the keys to the kingdom ala Favreau and Star Wars.

Vadic pulled an "Odo", albeit with more ability, and copied her "abuser".

Shatner's TekWar (no "R") series of science fiction novels were also ghost-written by an uncredited Ron Goulart.

After they think they had Vadic captured, they didn’t mention Riker once

I really enjoyed this one. Fast paced and high stakes.
That was a great unexpected opening with "Tuvok". A shame the years have taken a bit of that resonant voice.
Another reference to Janeway. She has to make an appearance at some point right?
This ep was a showcase for Amanda Plummer and Brent Spiner. They know how to dig into a role. Also great work by Levar Burton.

What the fuck is going on with Troi? Was that actually her in the prior episode or a changeling pretending to be her?
I can't figure out what Jack's deal is.

Good episode today. It was great to see the whole crew gathered together again for at least one more time. If the Changeling went to Nepenthe to kidnap Troi, what happened to Kestra? If they were taking Troi to torture Riker, surely they would have benefited from taking Kestra as well, but none of the dialog between Riker and Troi showed any concern for Where Kestra was or what happened to her.

Goddamn if it wasn't dusty with the Data and Lore scene.
Why destroy the Shrike along with Picard Prime aboard? That portal device would have some use should it truly be the start another Dominion war?

Worf's dialogue with Troi and Riker's reaction.
Data's plan with Lore was awesome.
Them all sitting together at the table again!
Yeah destroying the Shrike didn't make a ton of sense unless they figured they didn't want that technology getting in the hands of anyone else. Destroying it was their way of assuring that.
Makes me laugh we were teased answers about Jack but we have to wait another week.

I agree. At first I thought it was just in case of a castaway Changling. Now that they can track them if seems a waste.

Also, the portal device was apparently stolen from Daystrom Station, so the Federation presumably could reproduce it.

Super awesome! So many great scenes.
Worf's pent up speech to Troi and Riker's reaction "Is this a continuation of the torture?" So glad they didn't forget their history.
Picard recalling how Geordi said the Chateau Picard he gave him years ago was too dry.
Data finally brought back with everyone together was something I thought would never happen. The TNG movie we never got. S1 dropped the ball and I'm so glad the new writers got it right for S3.
It was sweet to see the Sherlock references, the Tasha Yar memento and Spot. All the stuff with Data and Geordi after. Terrific.
Seven getting her "Air Force One" moment was great and Vadic's fate was not something I expected. "Fucking solids." That slow impact shot.
RIP to bald Vulcan who made an impression in her limited screen time. She would've been a great addition to a spin-off.
Even in the 24th century hipsters are annoying the frack out of people.
Sure hope Jack's secret pays off with something cool.
