Just because it is the series finale now does not mean it can't come back, TNG series finale 30 years ago yet here we are back on the Enterprise D. Other shows like Night Court, Law and Order, Quantum Leap, Frasier ended many years ago, saying series finale in the age of reboots means almost nothing
I am simply pointing out that P+ says this is the series finale. I make no comments about what could hypothetically happen in the future.

I just hope the next episode is 60-70 minutes. I feel like they’ll need at least 15-20 minutes to let things settle after the plot is wrapped. If not, it’s going to feel very rushed.

I can't believe I wasted 10 hours of my life just for that to be the end result. I can't believe they made 10 hours of TV and all the hard work that goes in to that for that shit.
So yeah I get it. The borg have been done to death. But I'd argue that the way this season long plot has turned out has been fantastic and very inventive. It's had me on the edge of my seat. Definitely a new twist on an old enemy. And of course any plot would have been worth it because of the friends we've reunited with on the way. And it's been way better then any season long plot that STD has cooked up.

Alright, a few of us have told y'all to watch the ready room. Seriously, it's been an absolute joy with the cast of TNG on it. But I'm making you guys watch this one. For some reason they delayed releasing it until this past Saturday.
Will Wheaton tours the Enterprise D set with Mike Okuda. Johnathan Frakes and Elizabeth Dennehy.
What really sets TNG apart from any other TV show, Trek or otherwise, is the very real chemistry that all the cast have. It's just such a genuinely heartwarming thing to see how this cast have really stayed together as a family throughout these decades. And the last few minutes are really touching, Wil Wheaton might be a bit much but I think he's a class act and a genuinely nice guy.

I would love to see a spinoff with Shaw, LaForge girls, 7 of 9, Raffi. The cast of this show outside of the TNG cast is the best group since the TNG or DS9 cast. And if not all of them, give us a Raffi and Worf show.

In other words, he is jettisoning or hand-waving away as much of the nonsensical shit from the first two seasons as he can.

I'm not anticipating it, but I'd love to see them do a nice credit roll out since we are saying goodbye to all these iconic ST characters. We got cheated out of a proper goodbye in the TNG feature films when Nemesis was such a critical and financial bomb. I know they were not expecting that to be the final TNG feature film.

Matalas has addressed this on Twitter by saying, "That was an alternate faction of the Borg from an alt timeline.History was not rewritten. The Real Borg were still in the Delta Quadrant after being poisoned by Janeway."

I actually hadn't seen the full quote until now because the article I cribbed it from only quoted the first half, so thanks for that. I don't recall Shaw mentioning it, but I haven't rewatched any of the episodes yet.

I'd love to see them actually "Sign" off like original crew did in Star Trek VI. I mean why not dudes stole most everything else from the old movies haha.

Bill Hunt saw the finale and loved it. He says it's 63 minutes
Scott Mantz also loved the finale

So...Yes The Borg fucked up Picard and the Federation majorly on TNG. But Janeway is *THE TRUE* Borg Ass Kicker. So while I know we will likely never get a "Janeway" series...maybe they shouldn't have used the Borg as the big bad in Picard. 🤔

But is she now? They are back. Borg got contingency plans. Plus Janeway's got a cartoon show.

Yeah, I saw on twitter that they couldn’t use Janeway because of Prodigy.

I’ve heard some rumors swirling that they might want to do a Janeway series similar to Picard. Not sure if that’s truly a thing or just some speculation. VOY has actually kind of grown on me but I’m not sure if we need another show revisiting a former Captain.

Well they nailed it ....except The Borg Queen was just awful. Almost silly bad if you ask me. But ok whatever , it was a proper very very well done season.

Loved it. That was a hell of a great finale. That's the proper goodbye we got cheated out of 20 years ago. Great job by Matalas writing and directing it.
when Worf fell asleep after they came back on the Enterprise. I'm glad they didn't kill off Picard and gave us a nice moment of the TNG gang just enjoying a game of cards together. And I'm glad Matalas gave it room to breathe at the end and didn't rush the ending.
However, that post credit scene was a total tease for the potential spinoff that Matalas wants to make. Whether it happens who the hell knows. But, I was very satisfied overall. Other than bringing back 7 and introducing Raffi, who was really good in this season, this blew away anything from seasons 1 and 2. Thank God Chabon left and they handed the keys off to a guy who loves the franchise and knows it.
Alright that's all I got. I look forward to getting this season on BD later in the year and making it the true ending to TNG.

That was an ok finale. Predictable.
Yay!
Seven and Raffi!!!!!!! was worth all 3 seasons to see where they ended up!!
The end credit was cool.
