Holy Shit!
Spoiler:
Ahmed Best

After all the bullshit he took over the years and the trauma it caused him...finally he gets his moment and it was completely badass.

I'm a sucker for these monster of the week episodes, this one was pretty good... and I'm glad they went the route they did in the flashback. Still not much of a main storyline shaping up yet, just some breadcrumbs here and there. Hope the 2nd half of the season delivers.

That was cool… and I wonder if we’ll see him again.

Thought it was cool that Carl Weathers directed this episode.

This 32 minute episode was far better than last week’s 60+ minute monstrosity.

Absolutely. I was hoping it would have seen Mace Windu but, this works for me. Carl Weathers did a good job directing this ep.

I did not know that his was a role that he was reprising... here's his first appearance:
Spoiler:
As Jedi Master, Kelleran Beq, Ahmed Best was the host of Jedi Temple Challenge. There were 10 episodes that were released in summer of 2020.

So is the Jedi character played by Best related to the guy in the bar in AOTC?

He's listed in the credits of AOTC as Achk Med-Beq... so that would be a yes, unless...

Achk Med-Beq : Kellaren Beq :: Ben Kenobi : Obi Wan Kenobi

Interesting...

That was definitely the strongest start-to-finish episode of the season so far. If I had to nitpick, my only complaint might be that the baby raptors looked a little...off. It was cool seeing Grogu get his first piece of forged armor!

Great episode. I didn’t realize the cameo until I saw the credits.

There were some overuse of the “screen wipe” transitions that Star Wars is known for. The editing got choppy.

But overall, nice condensed episode.

Probably the best episode of the season so far. Lots of fun action and it was cool seeing the flashback with Ahmed Best’s character and Grogu.

Good episode, but I'm still wondering where this is going. Seems like they are more interested in setting up the other shows in universe than having a meaningful overall arc for Mando. And why didn't Bo Katan push a little harder to convince the Armorer about seeing the Mythosaur???

Good episode!

One thing, cosplayers should not dress up as Jedi. Far too dangerous.

Re: The Mandalorian (S3E04) - “Chapter 20: The Foundling” - 3/22/23

Yeah, there doesn’t seem to be a clear direction as to where the story is headed this season. Not that there was a ton of story in the first two seasons either.

This season so far is basically just Din and Bo-Katan rejoining the other Mandalorians and attempting to train Grogu. Other than those two aspects I’m not really sure where things are headed.

There also was last week’s one off episode which was interesting but not sure if we’re going back to that or what.

i know we are in the minority here, but i too feel this season is just off. there's not much going on and last week's ep while plenty Star Wars, what the hell was the point? i'm sure we'll find out, but it was just odd. and this whole Mandalorian taking off helmets is such a joke. they can't or else, but let's go do it to eat while others are not looking. c'mon. this season has been off and why (besides the horrid outrage that would come about) hasn't Grogo aged even a day? i know their kind can live hundreds or whatever years, but not so much as an inch or some semblance of growth (besides controlling the force better)? seems ridiculous. i dunno. so far not loving S3.
