What other themed GTA games would you like to see?

My brother and I were talking about this. Here are some other Grand Theft Auto Era-Themed games we would love to see get made.

Prohibition Era Chicago -This has so much potential. Working for Al Capone in Chicago sporting zoot suits and carrying tommyguns would be so sweet. Driving around in those old fashion cars in the snow of 1930s Chicago would be utmost coolest thing in a videogame.

'70s Vegas -The lights, the girls, the poker tables and the mob. Organized crime was so prevailent in 70s Vegas, Casino anyone? This one wouldn't be hard to make as it could be very similiar to Vice City. Vegas Baby Vegas!

'90s Los Angeles -Ok, now were talking the Tarantino era in movies and not to forget the infamous riots. This one could be very similiar to GTA3 except now we should have the option of tying someone up and cutting off their ear.

Well, that's all I can think of. If you got some cool ideas post em here.

I like the Chicago idea.
I'd like a New York circa Young Vito Corleone.

The only one I'm digging is the Prohabition/Chicago Era game. I'm a big fan of the PC games MOB RULE, and GANGSTERS 2 And i think a Capone treatment to GTA would be amazing.

Uhh... haven't you guys heard of Mafia? It's a PC game in the Prohibition/Chicago Era. It also has graphics that are 100X sweeter than GTA3 and the story, gameplay and physics are way better as well. It's a little different since it's more linear than GTA3... some people might not like that as much.

There's a game for Xbox coming out that's got 200 square miles or something of LA streets... I wanna say Duality? I can't remember if that's right. Anyway - they re-created a large section of LA that you'll be able to go around in. Supposed to be really cool.

It's already been done but I'd like to see an update of GTA London.

How about an X-box or Gamecube themed game. Last year I was debating between these two. X-box had Halo and the future release of GTA3 on the horizon. I decided on the GC and wait until GTA3 actually was nearer release on XB. Too bad that fizzled. Ended up owning both, but don't want to buy a third system just for this game.

I hear you on that! I bought the XBOX since it had the most graphic potential and was "supposed" to get GTA III. Got screwed ther but still love the XBOX.

I vote for the 70's era Vegas Setting. That seems to be the most lvialbe in terms of inspirational material. Think of all the Elvis impersonators you could run over.

I vote for Vegas too....i was thinking that could be a bad a$$ setting. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Swingers style. Only problem, i think most of the game would have to take place indoors....maybe not, haven't been to Vegas....YET. This year, here I come!

I think a future-themed GTA has a lot of potential. Think Back to the Future II. That would be alright.

Vegas would be great but the interesting part of the city is much smaller than the environments of GTA3 and VC. Much of the game would have to be indoors unless artificial places were developed. Imagine going into the Glitter Gulch on a video game. heh heh.

stoolie

I want..nay.. NEED a GTA style game set in the world of Snow Crash. If you haven't read that book, read it. You will then see that it's the perfect setting for a GTA-type game. I could see most of the novel as something that would work in a game..

Snow Crash practically was a video game with lenghthy philospical rants occuring every fifty pages. How about just a Snow Crash open environment RPG (then again isn't GTA just that?).

There will be "True Crimes: Streets of LA" coming out that looks to have a lot of potential. May be better than Vice City...

The Getaway is also another one that looks good...

Ahh yes - that's the game I was talking about in the 4th post. True Crime: Streets of LA. That game sounds awesome - I can't wait to walk around LA and shoot people.

Someone in another thread mention, Rome Gladiator Era. Where you buy and sell slaves, race chariots, and kill Christians. I'm all for that!!

A medieval one would be cool too, riding horseback serving as a Knight then betraying him, killing him, becoming a king, then visiting neighboring lands and killing other kings, It would be so sweet.

I was just thinking of those-

GTC (Grand Theft Chariot), GTH (Grand Theft Horse-this could also be set in the Old West)
