TRU Black Friday GBA

I saw they are selling ablack GBA on black friday for 50 bones, is this an america black version? Or is it crap that TRU puts their logo all over (on the system itself) and packages on their own?

I thought I saw something that said if you spend $100 at KB you can get $25 off a GBA. That brings the price down to $45. Not a bad deal if you want some other stuff from KB.

I dont believe the black GBA they were referring to is actually a GBA. Wht I read is called the Game Boy Advance Black Pro Gamers Kit. With a quick look at their website this is what comes up from a search:

From the picture this is obviously not a GBA unit. I too was excited to see a black one and at a great price.. I knew it was too good to be true.

Wal-mart has from 6am-11am and GBA with screen protector for $49. That looks like the best deal w/o the need to buy anything else.

It does exist as an exclusive to TRU, I just called my local TRU and they have them in stock for $69.99. I'm waiting until FRIDAY though to see what deal they might have.

EDIT: According to the Black Friday thread in the Bargains forum, it doesn't seem like there will be any good GBA deals at TRU. Guess I'll pick it up today in fear that it will sell out this weekend. I NEED MY BLACK ONE!!!! (to match my Black GC)

Yeah, $25 off a Gameboy if you spend over $100 at KB, plus they lowered the warranty price to 9.99. This isn't while quantities last either, you can get a raincheck. We have these cool Harry Potter viewfinders we're handing out free to early bird folks too.

I work at TRU and we've had the black GBAs for a while now. We weren't allowed to start selling them though until a few days ago.

As far as I know, there aren't any logos on the system itself. Just one on the box.

By the way, Toys R Us won't pricematch the GBA for $50 on Friday in case any of you were thinking about doing that. Pretty lame if you ask me. Now I have to deal with pissy customers.

Got my BLACK GBA today. It rules! Damn, it is hard to see the screen. I guess I'm picking up a light thing-a-ma-bob soon.

I'm not too fond of the KB deal myself. As a quick add on it's great but people aren't gonna come to KB just for a GBA. Mainly because you can't use purchases of games or accessories towards the $100 required purchase. Since I'm handling video I'm gonna have to tell mad people this all morning!

I am thinking to buy a PS2 System and a GBA tomorrow at KBToys. Does it mean I can't use PS2 towards the $100 required purchase?

Does anyone know what is the best deal on a PS2? I saw the $150 for a Refurbished PS2, but I really don't want to buy a refurbished system.

TRU has a deal on Friday where if you buy a black GBA they throw in Super Mario World for around 70 bucks. BB has a deal where they throw in Yoshi's Island (no black GBA though; its a TRU exclusive).
