We took out Meshlok (accidental add) i think he dropped something that our level 60 hunter actually used. I'll try to get people to get the goblin tonight after rotgrip. in previous times we've just portalled out after rotgrip.

I need more radiant shards, my enchanting is suck around 265. i guess i could just level it up to the brillant shard level using dream dust and the essences, though.

You NEED the inventor's focal sword. It's essential to your gear as a mage. Unless you got Zum'rah's Vexxing Cane in ZF, then the inventor's focal sword is your target now.

After a good couple weeks of being top dog on the 31-40 battlegrounds I finally leveled my Rogue to 41. Going back to doing quests will be nice, but I'll miss those good ole days.

How're the servers working right now? I've been offline since first week of August. We finally moved into long term housing this week so we should be getting a satellite hookup pretty soon for internet (sharing between about 13 people, but no more than 1/2 of who should be on at any given time -- probably fewer). I'm expecting a pretty bad lag generally, but I'm still hoping to get enough of a connection to do some guild chatting/hanging out, etc.

Patch 1.7 is out. Some of the changes are the same as the rumored patch notes, but alot of it isn't there, like the new auction houses, and the ability to re-train a forgotten profession among others.

I don't know how you guys do it. I only played for a little over 2 weeks, and saw this game taking over way too much of my life. I even took a 1/2 day off of work last week so I could play some more. Last night I decided to cut the cord: I cancelled my account, sold all my armor off, and gave away all my gold. Hopefully that will keep me from going back to it before my subscription runs out. It's a fun game, but way too addicting for me.

It is just that addicting, I was playing a good 6-7 hours a night during the summer as my wife and baby were out of town at our vacation home. I would head up on weekends and would log on to manage AH activity as well as my side business in the game. Now that they are back I find it difficult to find enough of a block of time to make it worthwhile as I am lvl 54 and moving on to some pretty time consuming quests and instances.

Once I hit lvl 60 I am going to start scheduling specific runs with a guild on a set night as opposed to randomly walking around not knowing what to do next or do pickup groups. I have enough gold for my epic mount so I won't really need to farm and won't have to grind b/c I won't need the experience. I may dabble in PVP as well.

Just a bit of self control. I just play on weekdays when I have nothing to do other than wait for the next day of work. Then on the weekends, I just run the errands and blow off the steam with the buds. It's ridiculously easy to advance in this game.. you just need to be familiar with the areas you quest in.

Anyhow, I'm just waiting for the maintenance to be done so I can get my epic mount. Glowing Brightwood Staff drop ftw. Also, I should be at pvp rank 3 so I get an additional discount on it.

Thank god for Zul'Gurub. A high end raid instance for casual players. I can never see myself having the time nor patience to do MC, BWL, or Onyxia runs.

What is discount for epic mount at rank 3? What is Zul'Gurub? I haven't read the patch notes yet.

When you reach rank 3 you get a 10% vendor discount (same as when you are honored). So when you buy your epic mount it'll only come to 800g. Zul'Gurub is a new 20 man instance in Stranglethorn Vale.

I downloaded the patch from Gamespot earlier this morning at 30kb/s if you want to try something different.

Here is a fast link for the patch:

http://files.filefront.com/WoW_Clien.../fileinfo.html

Onyxia is not a long encounter, it will take an hour, maybe two at the most. From what I've seen it is just a couple guards before Onyxia and then Onyxia herself.

when you say "rank 3", I'm guessing that means "first seargent" for the horde?
Is there any additional vendor discount above rank3?
I'm disappointed in the AV epic found.
At exalted rep, the epic mount still costs 640G.
Considering the amount of time it takes to get into av and the amount of time it takes to get exalted, it seems rather high.

Rank 3 for Horde is just Sergeant. First Sergeant is rank 5. I didn't know the cost of the epic at exalted, but 640g sounds like 800g -20% for your honored and rank 3 vendor discounts. Sure, it's still a fair bit of money, but it costs 90g for the epic mount when you reach rank 11 (Lieutenant General), and I imagine that's a much bigger time investment than getting to exalted. At least if you are a melee character you get good weapons at exalted still. Casters get nothing useful past honored...

At least with Arathi Basin there are worthwhile rewards for revered and exalted.

I am thinking of rolling horde and was wondering if there seemed to be a common server everyone was playing on. If not does anyone recommend a server? I would play on Cenarius but I have too many alts lol. I am looking for a pve server preferably medium to full, newer prefered over older only for prices since I would be starting from scratch on horde.

Bah, delete an alt you don't play and start a horde up on Cenarius! You should know how bad the imbalance is, and do your part to help your fellow Cenarions...

What is your policy regarding groups and random world epic drops? I ask because I was summoned to a group in Mara and was told that we would be doing a princess run. When I got there they said they didn't have the staff (I guess I should've asked). Anyway we start doing orange and a Dazzling Longsword (lvl 36, 36dps and pretty crappy proc, I think it was chance to reduce opponent armor by 100) drops. Everyone starts saying g, g, and I come out and tell them that I would be rolling on it anyway as it is a epic world drop and even if the warrior said he "needed" it he probably didn't as he was lvl 51, plus I was pissed at being lied to re: princess. Since no one pressed the greed button yet everyone had a chance to need roll and I came up the winner. One of the rogues starts beeging for it as he never got a world epic drop before and I simply told him no. I sold it at the AH that night for 125g which I consider good as thottbot has it anywhere from 20g to 150g.

What do you think?

Yea, that's one of the other garbage epics. It's pretty much a low level Phantom Blade. Either way, that rogue should've been using something better already.. such as the phantom blade itself. He'll also be using the thrash blade soon too since he's doing Mara. Something like that is a greed roll by default.

How does that greed button work anyways? I haven't grouped for anything since the patch.

There are two choices now, need and greed. If you press greed, it indictaes that you have pressed the greed button but no roll is shown. Obviously if other people press the need then all the greed pass. If it's all greed then it automatically rolls.
