MTV Xbox 360 Show Question?

Are there going to be two parts of the show?

According to the statement below the show is on the 12 and the13!?

As far as I know it's just a one part show. I'm pissed, although not surprised, that they are going to have a musical act. That alone will take up about 1/3 of the half hour. They are probably just going to re-air it on the 13th.

Its a worldwide telecast, so depending on where you are in the world, depends on if it is the 12th or 13th.

That's exactly what I'm wondering too. If they show celebritites and a musical act then how much of the actual new xbox system are they going to show.

All of this in 30 minutes? That's not enough at all so I'm wondering if they are going to have a part two the next day to show the xbox and upcoming games.

I bet it'll be 5 min intro, 5 band, 5 min of celebs, and 5 of min x360, with 10 minutes of commercials.

Yeah, more than likely the 12th will be the original air date with the 13th being the replay. However, if you check the schedule on MTV.com:

Thu 05/12 - 9:30 PM

Thu 05/12 - 11:00 PM

Sun 05/15 - 9:00 AM

But I'm pretty sure it's going to be a one episode deal. goLucky probably broke it down the best way, so I wouldn't expect anything too in depth, they're just going to give people enough info to start salivating.

I think all the info about the console can fit into less than five minutes. The rest will just be hype and other crap.

Do you think they'll show video of next generation games while some band plays in the backround?

If we're lucky. 5 minutes of actual content would shock me.

it's an infomercial aimed at people who watch mtv. in keeping with the tradition of mtv, the commercial should not actually have anything to do with the subject matter at hand.

So the show is nearly half over and we've seen a 360 sit on a stand and the shitty Killers sang. MTV fucking sucks.

It's pissing me off how everytime someone is being interviewed they have shit music playing in the background. Sometimes I can barely hear what they're saying

Considering brutality that DOA4 and especially PDO are getting online at moment since pics are out, perhaps it is better they dont show too much.
I think its save to say alot folks are dissapointed, a thread of 114 pages of just shock and disgust is not good sign even for todays jaded gamers.

Yes, I want to see these losers faces instead of the game itself. Thanks MS and MTV, you really know how to disappoint.

What a crap show. It was certainly more fluff and junk than I hoped. The actual game footage show was cool but Perfect Dark Zero let me down a bit.

PD0 looks remenisent of it's predecessor in terms of graphic style. I did like the tuck and roll move, jetpacks, and the 50 player online quote.

The short clips of the other games were neat, but I've already seen most of them. MTV crapped on the whole production with the pimp my ride shit and the Killers.

Wow, that MTV thing was largely a waste of time...
"Lets take a look at these uber cool players profiles!" ---
"So cool players, what do you think?"---
"It's rocks, there is so much stuff here"
< Jeff waits for them to show this "stuff", nothing >

Some good looking games overall, but no reason for me to upgrade to that system this fall. I know this is just "get the word out" but dammit, I wanted more. Besides I hear the PS3 is going to be 2135235X more powerful...

Personally I wasn't too impressed with the footage since I don't care how good a cutscene looks. It seems to be the only stuff they showed that actually filled the screen for any amount of time long enough to process the image.
