FilePlanet requires you to sign up for an account, but doing so is free. A paid subscription isn't necessary, but you will need to wait in line for the download as mentioned.

3DGamers is free and doesn't require registration. Most sites typically just require you to sign up for a free account.

You can, I was just too impatient to wait an hour before I could even start downloading.

Use Filefront, usually no wait for the patches and no registration required and fast speeds.

So, I'm quickly approaching level 40, and don't have anywhere near enough money to afford a mount. I think I've got maybe 8 gold right now. Where am I supposed to get all this money (and still be able to afford spell upgrades?) I'm just an herbalist/alchemist, and no one seems to pay much for any of the potions I can make. I just found out how to transmute iron to gold, but can only do those once a day. Is it really that frowned upon to just go to one of those websites, and purchase gold?

Also, I'm kind of annoyed with Gadgetzan, and other neutral cities. I was wandering around Gadgetzan, minding my own business, right clicking on people to see what they have to say. All of a sudden, I accidently right click on a PVP person (not noticing the icon turned to a sword before it was too late) and they spanked the hell out of me in 2 seconds flat. I went to retrieve my corpse, and some other PVP guy killed me. Lame! Are there any add-ons, that prevent you from doing that accidently (or at least prompt you "are you sure you want to do this" first)? I'm not intersted in PVP, and this sort of thing has happened a couple times now.

Never right click on people only left click. that way you will never attack. to make lots of money start selling Herbs (like Kingsblood) at the AH. A lot of them will bring you a godo amount of gold per stack of 20. Kingsblood is used in the Thorium Brotherhood rep quest so you should be able to to get atleast 3-5g per stack.

I didn't even know you could left click people... why have I been right clicking this whole time??

Kingsblood, huh? I never even thought of selling that. I'll look into it, thanks!

Yes. It will get you banned if Blizz ever found out.

If you want to make money, you should be selling your herbs rather than using them to make potions and selling the potions.

And about Gadgetzan.. it's funny. It's actually safer outside of Gadgetzan than it is to stand inside Gadgetzan. Whenever you're there, expect a rogue or hunter to exploit their abilities to drop you in town.

I know for a while I did it when I was a rogue lol. I never could figure out why when stealthed as soon as I got close I attacked till someone said something.

Yeah Herbs not potions sell better, just make sure you price according to market. Also anytime someone is looking for a potion and you can make it, offer to make it if they supply the mats. Most of the time they will tip you for it so it is easy money or they end up giving you extra mats if thjey were forced to buy a stack.

Also pick up everything and sell everything. Always check the AH before Vendoring.

There's a FEW potions that I can sell for more than the herbs (for example, I can sell regular shadow protections for 1 gold for 1 potion easy, just because it's a bit of a pain to get the recipe) but overall, selling the herbs seems to work out far better for me. All my new alts now have herbs and skinning (the skins don't sell for much, but it adds up over time, and it is so easy to do) , so that they can easily pay for their own mounts by the time they get to 40 (I hate sending all my money to my alts!).

Skinning is great for money because you can just go to some place like the raptor pit in the wetlands and skin all the raptors other people kill for quests. Same with the werewolf guys in duskwood.

Holiday stuff is up now. pretty cool when you turn your mount into a reindeer. I'm still trying to kill the Greench but there are about 500 other people hanging out at Alterac mountain trying to do the same thing. that guy needs a faster respawn rate

Apparently snowballs stun the target for a few seconds. Grabbed a bunch of those.

only stuns people you are in a party with. also they do not aggro mobs. its funny to hit someone in your party with one when they are running.

Just group with a bunch of people there. I did, and it took us about 10 minutes to kill him, even with the crowds.

Or when they're drinking.

Saw a guy in IF today getting repeatedly pelted while trying to get something enchanted.

Hmm, I wonder if Power Word: Shield can block'em. I'm guessing no though.

its fun to hit people with a snow ball when they are trying to get more snowballs from the patches of snow on the ground. it gives them a "failed" and then you can get it if you're fast.

i found the best way to get the Greench is not camping a spot but keep running around.

I am seeking advice about diving into WOW: Should I wait for the expansion...or buy it after christmas and just go headfirst?

Recommendations? Should I avoid doing this? How much time do you guys spend once you start playing hard core?

The expansion is mostly new content for post level 60 players so if you waited for it you probably won't even get to see the expansion content for a while anyway.

The Expansion isn't coming out til Spring or later. So might as well dive right in.

The game can get VERY addicting. Don't be surprised if you spend 3+ hours a night on it (and that's a conservative estimate IMO ).
