NM just beat it. I'm over it now lol. My wife is upstairs wondering why I keep screaming "this game is bullshit" though!
My best advice is to move quick and just get lucky when you toss the Stone Angel. It only took me 3 times to do it. I ignored everything else going on and just made an effort to quickly grab 2 Angels and slam them into the bricks. It can be over in a matter of seconds if you're fast enough.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

Ugh! I'm stuck at this part (History Museum, possessor ghosts):

http://macrogeek.blogspot.com/2009/0...to-handle.html

I tried several times yesterday, checked a couple of guides and no luck. I'll try to follow the above strategy as close as possible.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

What are you having a problem with?

Slime down the humans when they're possessed to push the ghosts out, switch to proton and zap/boson dart them down. If you have the Slam Trap already, you can make quick work of the room.

Just beat the big Marshmellow...not a bad game. Still not sure if 'buying' upgrades is required or not.

I've seen it done in Multiplayer and it's fast. On one hand, it seems to take some of the "fighting a big fish" fun away from catching ghosts, but on the other, it's great for catchng them fast in a timed match.

I haven't done it yet. So you just tether the ghost to the trap right?

Yeah although some of the little critters thrown at you can take you out easily if too many get at you; that whole part of the game is not only fun, but it looks damn good.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

Tonight AMC is showing both Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II. What hoot...and yea the game captured the movie dead on with all four main characters and "Stay-Puff".

When you get enough money just start upgraging as you get achievements if you get "all" upgrages for each weapon.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

I just ran into the worst glitch EVER. I decided to try a new career on pro and its pretty tough for me. I'm on the roof towards to end of the Stay Puft level and I slammed one of the last ghosts and for some reason, it got stuck inside of a f****** wall/building.

Peter and Ray are going crazy up against this wall trying to capture the thing and so am I. Sometimes with either Ghostbuster disappearing into the wall with it. It's ridiculous! I don't want to start over again because of this dumbness.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

Just reload the checkpoint. I had something similar happen to me right before the final boss of the game. One of the four ghosts I was supposed to capture simply disappeared and they kept yelling at me to focus on it while other waves of enemies kept spawning.

I like how in the commercial they made Dan Akroyd look less porky then he was in the movie.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

I finished it last night and really liked the whole game thru & thru. I guess for some that's use to fast pace action or the normal shoot-em-ups maybe a letdown but not me. Pretty good storyline, excellent voice acting and visually solid. Yea there are a few moments in the game that's has you saying, "ok what and where" but really nothing bad. If the game had co-op in career mode this would've been a solid "9+". But the MP coop mode is really fun.

Glad I got it and well worth it. I usually play FPS games and this was a good one to give me a break from using a "gun". Now like Bioshock I'll be waiting on the second.

To add to the already excellent cast lending their voices I noticed no other than Max Von Sydow on the list as well. You be hard pressed to find any game anywhere with voice talent like Ghostbusters.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

Just got to the Stone Angels part on Experienced.

Shit.

I thought I got all of them the last time and I went over to revive Ray and then boom. A fire arrow hits me out of nowhere. Mission Failed.

That was try number 5, and I have had little to no trouble up to this point.

Overall though I have been loving this game. Worthwhile purchase, definitely!

Re: "Ghostbusters"

After this GOW2 Double XP weekend I'll be back on for some MP but I still have Red faction to finish as wll. When I got Ghostbusters I never wanted to stop.

Hey Jackal, sorry I didn't reply right away last night but not easy when you're in the middle of Horde action. Glad you enjoyed the game and maybe we all can do some MP later on.

I saw a way to beat this somewhere and it worked for me try 1.

Just stand in front of the fence facing forward, away from the glowing heads on the fence. After that just keep dodging back and forth and don't stop. The angels will fly into the fence trying to get you and eventually, and fairly quickly, will just break it down.

Oh thanks! I actually finally got through it after several more tries, and then finished the game this morning. Tonight I'm gonna go back through and pick up the achievements I missed.

Solid game. The ending was....eh, but I'm pretty satisfied.

If anyone is doing some MP tonight I'll be on probably in single player going back thru locating missed items. I'm always up for this in coop.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

I just started this game this morning. I'm against the last 3 or 4 bellhop ghosts in the first mission. I've been slamming these guys for 20 minutes and still haven't gotten the on-screen message to release the trap. How long is this supposed to keep on going?

Re: "Ghostbusters"

You release the trap at will with the X button. Once they're down to 25% health (in the red) the trap will open when you get them over it. Then you fight them into trap.

Thank you. I thought you had to wait for it to show up on screen.
